We used a sheet metal roller to roll the sides of my roof. For the inner support we rolled some 1/4 bar stock for the for the sides of the top and I have 1"x1" angle iron for the cross bars. I'll post some pics when I get it done.
Other than driving the wheels off it I haven't done to muck to the deuce in the last month. I drive it every day and put 1500 miles on it this month. I did put a EGT guage in and turned up the pump and it made it so much better to drive. Now it will hold it's speed up all of the hills and keep...
I didn't change the wheel base on mine. I just removed the first rear axle. It rides real nice with the long wheel base but small parking lots are a pain without power steering.
They are not to bad to get out of the doors. I had a spring break on my driver side door.
