Well I got the old suspension out today and what a pain in the a$$ that was! I don't know what was worse the rivets that won't let go or dragging the axle and suspension out of the garage by myself. Good news is it doesn't look like I'm going to have to move the rear axle!
I have my axle chained up so I could move the truck around. Without the chain the axle would hit the floor and the rear axle would be stuck up in the bed.
I got a 3 1/2" 90 to repair my J pipe and all I did was cut the top off and use the bottom to car off the one rust hole. It should be good for a few more years. now I'm getting ready to chop out the rear suspension. I hope to have it done by next week.
I rebuit the driver side door latches mounted the fenders & hood sides and got the driver side tool box on. I'm already sick of drilling holes in the frame and I just got started.
What are you guys doing for wheel studs? I have recentered Hemmt wheels and I was told the stock studs would not be long enough. I don't want to use the rear thimbles on the studs because it keeps the wheel form sitting flat on the hub. Any idea's?
Spent a few hours trying to line up the doors and get the door gaps right. What a pain in the a$$ that was. I still need to fix both driver side door latches. The rear wont open from the out side and the front latch you have to lock it for it to stay latched. Seems like the spring is off or...
Well I got the dash and all the air lines back in the cab. I also got the cab bolted back on the frame. Now I'm just trying to figure out how close I want the 105 bed to the cab and how I'm going to mount it.
It's lots of work but still fun. I'm half way through my build.

Yes I'm going to run two fuel tanks and I plan on another tool box on the driver side rear and put my small generator in a battery box on the pass side rear.
I used a friends tow truck to put the cab back where it belongs. Having two winches on the truck really helped when we slid the body down the steering shaft. I'm going to mount the cab to the frame before we start on the top that way I can align all the door gaps.
I welded in the new outer rockers and some of the outer patches on today. I also started filling the holes on the floor. If all goes well I'll have the body off the frame by the weekend so I can start on the top.
