Come on down Brandon. I thought of riding my KTM if the weather is not too crappy.
I will invite the other Brandon that lives here in Tualatin. Then we can have two of you!
I bet you could run 10-20% without modification. Especially if you could get tranny fluid or hydraulic oil. Another thing that would help is if the fuel tank is in a basement or other enclosure where it wasn't subject to arctic temperature swings like y'all get in Vermont. It gets pretty cold...
But Wait! There's More!!!
Here we have the lovely Beige I had formulated for a place to stencil black bumper numbers. Also is the Sherwin Williams formulation for what for lack of a better name, they called Army Truck Brown.
If anyone has the proper name for the black and brown, please let me...
By whoever is wielding the Ban Hammer.
I say Leave It To Doghead. You fail to use the search function and BOOM! You're done rofl
You know he wants to
I think it is just taking a nap. It has been a wonderful and informative thread. We have had to fight to keep some of the idiocy out of it like the "loot Walmart crap" but the term Bug Out exists for an important reason. Sometimes an individual or group of them needs to quickly evacuate because...
Unit Insignia
These are Very Cool! Would look good painted on the inside of the door I am thinking.
Could make a set of stencils, ~only five or six colors to deal with :-D
While cleaning the front bumper to repaint I also found some very cool older markings that identify the first unit this truck was assigned to. Can anyone help with this?
7 7S&T
I would ~really like to know what unit that was.
The 528th was inactivated last year. They were at JBLM. Some of their trucks were sold there at Ft Lewis and I ended up with one. I would like to recreate the truck numbers correctly, or at least the unit numbers. I have some pretty decent ghost numbers, about half of which can be read.
Can...
Yes, it is the same headlight I used for the first attempt at matching 383 Green. The Sherwin Williams guy put a lot of effort into getting it just right.
383 Green
New formula for 383 Green from Sherwin Williams. I will edit the older post to point to here. Photos are the mix codes for Sherwin Williams. The NOS headlight I used for color match, notice that the color on the left matches perfectly? The lighter color on the right was the first mix...
I agree with you that one bug out thread is plenty. But this strikes me as funny
"but do we need so many?"
That's like asking a green iron addict why he needs so many trucks or a gun guy why he needs so many guns
One bug out thread is useful but people starting them whilly nilly is...
The only way to avoid paying the Washington tax is to be setup as a Washington reseller. I already was but then had to send in the forms before the auction close or I would have had to pay the tax too. GL is going to charge you the tax.
You will have to pay the tax then apply for a refund here...
I have seen International S Series trucks, usually 4x4 with a dump bed and snow plow reasonable on auctions. For comfort that's the way to go. By the time you get done spending the money to make the deuce or 5 ton something it's not, it is cheaper to just get a good used truck already setup that...
Both of my trucks have typical military paint jobs. CARC applied with runs, flaking off in some places with OD showing underneath plus those rusty patches.
It is obvious that not much if any surface prep was done before painting. All that taken into consideration, that paint stayed on there...
