Just a quick update as the sun came out and I am going out to paint.
The Sherwin Williams code I posted up is too green. They corrected it for me and the results are just beautiful. I will put the corrected mix up in the next day or so.
I won't be using oil based paints except for primer again...
Was just going over this same subject with my big tire guy. He said golf balls work good but that they liked tennis balls the best. They work better than Dyna Beads.
You have to put then in the tire before mounting is all.
You could also probably use Legos, ball bearings, and also spare nuts...
Well not screwed, but that is where you pay the price to live in such a beautiful place. If there is any way to make a living and still be there, then to me it would be well worth it.
Loved your videos, very nicely done. Would like to know more about how you did them.
OK, I have this tiny little complaint/suggestion.
Could I please just pay an extra additional $15 or $40 or so a year and have as big a PM box as I want?
Tried to reply to wsucougar. I know, he is questionable for being a Coug fan but I just wanted to reply to his message and couldn't without...
Ron, everything you put there ^^ is reasonable, helpful, and AFIK necessary.
I really appreciate this. All of those ^^ ad faults detract from what can be an incredible resource to the members.
Thanks!
I concur with Bolkbich. I have 1600s with HEMTT rims. The offset for the front is a little weird, the tires stick out about 3" past the fenders, but it drives just fine.
When I drilled the exhaust manifold on my deuce for the pyrometer thermocouple, I did it running. The theory is that what few fine chips go into the manifold get blown through the turbo and out the exhaust.
The turbo still works fine three years later. I'd say it worked fine.
So are you thinking these came out of Red River this way? What can you tell of the history of the trucks.
And Better Yet? How about some pictures of what the hookups look like.
When I read the title of your post I was thinking "well they will work fine for a while if it isn't cold".
There's a couple of factors in play to consider. When the military puts in 4 BIG batteries, they are counting on the fact that the truck NEEDS to START wherever it ends up. Ship the truck...
Well I can tell you that the transmission in the 923 I have is the MT654, don't know about the CR suffix. So it is a pretty common transmission.
What I suggest is that you find the regional Allison service center and make some acquaintances there. Get them interested in that very cool truck...
