    My 1-Ton restomod m1009 thread

If I had a Duramax in my M1008, I would have wrapped it around a tree in the woods lol Both of my M1008 trucks have been fairly reliable with the ole 6.2 diesel... no complaints. Just not going to win a speed contest with them...

I have come to the conclusion that a Kubota is a pain in the.... I'll never buy another one. In due time I'm going to look at getting a J Deere or a Massey to replace the Kubota 3301 I have.

    TrueTrac Differential..

Anyone run a Truetrac limited slip in a Dana 60 in the front? Just curious how it performed through mud and other slippery stuff... While a TrueTrac is not cheap, it's still less $$ than a selectable locker in the front. Just wanting something more than an open diff in the front dana 60 on my...

Yup... we're not trying to win a beauty contest here lol The door in the pic was white, so I decided to throw a greenish gray primer on it. The driver's side door is from a M1010 and still has the carc green w/camo. Going to leave that one as is... **the doors that are on the 86 M1008 are civi...

    M1008 Brake Capacity??

No way I would attempt to attach a dbl axle trailer to the rear bumper... especially with a tractor loaded on it. The 85 M1008 has a stout trailer hitch set up mounted to the frame.

    M1008 Brake Capacity??

Just curious what the brake capacity was on the cucv trucks... I discovered the trailer brakes were not working when I had to haul the tractor n trailer(7500lbs) with the 85 M1008. I maintained my distances in traffic, but I had zero issues getting stopped. To be honest, I was impressed that...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I I've seen a handful of 09's around the Carrollton area, but I rarely ever see any of the cucv variant trucks. Of course I'm not in Carrollton that much anymore unless it's for work. I usually keep it around the Bowdon/Bremen area where it's less hectic..
