Send it back... it will not work at all. On a MF30030 there some play in the pump lever which does not allow the eccentric on the camshaft to operate the pump. The CHFP906 has zero play in the lever and it pumps fuel as it should.
I've already been through this with my 86 M1008. MF30030 will...
Change the harmonic balancer on the 6.2 diesel asap. Your existing unit may look okay, but the rubber is dried and hardened thus reducing it's ability to function properly. Old harmonic balancers are engine killers for a 6.2 diesel. I changed both of the balancers on my m10008 trucks and it was...
Just be aware of the advertised specs for each brand within the same size. I run BFG KM2 and they were right at 33.3in mounted. My Toyo MT were 33.5 mounted. If it's going to be an all terrain type tire, they will be a lil shorter.
The shop that rebuilt my 27MT ordered mine for me... I think it was $160. It's not a cheap chinese unit, just can't remember where it came from.
It is a gear reduction starter and while they claimed the 24V 28MT would turn the engine over faster, it does not. However it still starts every time...
I learned this after having to replace the freeze plugs on my 85 M1008. When I had to have the flexplate replaced, we put in a fresh rear main seal. Foresight beats hindsight every time lol
I run BFG KM2 255 85 16 on my 86 M1008 on the factory wheels with no issues. I also run the Toyo MT in the same size on my 79 K20 with no issues. They also get insane traction off road as well.
** the km2 measured out to 33.3in tall mounted and the Toyo was 33.5in tall when mounted.
**if you ever decide to use a 28MT 12V starter, you will need the starter brace for a 6.5 diesel. Btw, my 86 M1008 has the 12V conversion along with a 28MT 12V starter. I've had zero issues with it and it starts every time....
Had my 24V 27MT starter rebuilt with the correct 24V solenoid. For some unknown reason it kept eating solenoids. Sometimes it would only click, sometimes it would not engage the flexplate and some times it would fire right up. Never could figure out what the issue was. We replaced the 27MT with...
I had my pull strap attached to a front shackle and wrapped around the winch mount. Driving through the woods and the truck stopped.. it acted like something underneath got snagged on a large vine. I got out to look and noticed the pull strap fell off and was underneath a tire🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂
