Currently having an issue with my Gen 1 circuit. Both alternators rebuilt within the past few months. Voltmeter is only showing 12.26 for the gen 1 alternator. Gen 1 light is not coming on even with a new bulb. The 20amp fuse was bad, so I put in a new fuse. Still no gen 1 light. My heater...
When the engine
Yes a 35yr old tank needs to be cleaned out. What I'm not getting is when the engine cut out, I loosened the air bleed on the filter housing and fuel was spraying out the top. Still wouldn't start back up. So that tells me fuel was getting through the filter. At the time I...
Yes.... sugar has no effect on diesel. It just gets caught in the fuel filter
*I've put 10k miles on the engine after all of the sugar eventually got out of the tank
Yes, it is #chfp906...... already went through the parts store sending #mf30030 and it didn't work.
Ran a few errands in it this AM and it hummed along per usual. I'm stumped as to what caused the fuel flow to stop🤷♂️

Something caused an interruption in fuel delivery, not sure what it is. I did drive the truck this AM to run some errands and all was well. IDK what caused it to stop running yesterday.
Riddle me this...
I'm driving the 86 M1008 just cruising along at 55mph and the engine suddenly dies. It was like turning off the key, but the dash lights were still on. The engine would not refire. I pulled the pink wire going to the fuel solenoid with the key on and I could hear the solenoid...
I threw a set of KM2 255 85 16 on my 86 M1008. On the days where the work drive is country highway and no interstates, I drive it instead of my Duramax truck. It sees 55-57mph quite often. It has a new harmonic balancer, lift pump and rebuilt injection pump. I drive the fool out of that truck lol
Tires are too expensive to fry lol... and yes, fresh coffee is a must have in the mornings. The caffeine gets my brain going for what needs attention next on the cucv trucks lol
I use the factory clutch fan on the 406 in my 79 K20. It keeps the engine from getting too hot.... and a 406 can warmer than any other small block chevy
