Bought this one off GSA today, will try to pick it up Friday. It looks complete and has about 650 hours on it.
Fingers crossed, reading all the TM's prior to pickup. It looks like it has been stored inside for a while, thats a plus!
I have seen some of those on youtube, most look like they got rid of the governor and all the shrouding too, I never thought of using a 4Ao84 in a ultralight aircraft but I guess it works.
Yeah he told me last week he is out. Propane conversion is an option, there is a guy on evilbay selling a complete kit but its kinda high in my opinion, I think you could piece it together cheaper.
I am thinking about doing it on my mep-016a, I wonder how much run time you would get from a bbq...
No I have not, Saturn is out of carbs I know of no other source. He does still have the carb bowl gasket which I use and then make all the rest from scratch. Generally they just require a good cleaning, and I always coat the float with gas tank sealer, that has worked well for me.
Care to share...

Well I finally got her going after a carb and fuel system cleanup and a few other tweaks, it makes power and runs good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kd88VoCJJk
Got yard work to do today, moving out the remains of 2 M37 parts trucks I have had for several years, they are going to a good home and will help bring back another M37 that belongs to a friend of mine.
Just a FYI, a member of my club has a Goat for sale, if interested shoot me a pm and I can...
Thanks for the prayers and good wishes,
Mark when I get done with this I'll probably buy another basket case and start again, I got a tip on a Burma jeep that is a scrapheap and missing almost evervthing!
Trying to get some little stuff done this weekend. Life has been getting in the way lately, wife had knee surgery, grandkids, small vacation, work, and so on.
The older I get the less free time I seem to have.
Well we are all just purists here, that's all no offense meant.
We prefer original over modifed, it's coming along nicely and if you are selling anyway nothing wrong with letting the next owner make the call.
I have not rolled one, nor do I wish to get into a position where I might.
Test fit for the new hood, this is the one off the parts truck. It really changes the look of the truck as I originally had the steel hood.
I didn't really attach it permenantly as it will have to come back off for paint.
