As I thought. I will try to find a actual 1970 plate for my truck.
I guess I will need to find one for my 1984 M1009 too. It has never had a plate
on it so this will be a first.
I also have a 46 CJ2A so I will be plate shopping. lol
Jim
Can Kentucky owners use an actual Year of Manufacture plate for their real registration?
I have a 1946 CJ2A Jeep. I have an authentic 1946 Indiana plate and since it is registered there at this time,
I can drive it with the 46 plate displayed.
Is this the same in KY?
For the M35A2 would it...
are your KY guys and gals sure that there is no way to register it with the military VIN {serial number} and
not have to install an actual plate?
I know that I have been in a different state but there are several that do not have to have a plate even though
the vehicle is registered.
Well it finally looks like I am going to Louisville for work.
I just purchased new-to-me M35A2 W/W and need to transfer it from Texas title in
former owner's name to mine.
Can you guys in KY fill me in on what I will need to do for registration. I guess that we can
not register it without a...
Well it turns out that the fuel pump in the tank went south. Also a lot of crappy old gas in the tank and dirty filters too.
Runs great with a good fuel pump and clean filters.
Yea!!
Was out driving a friends truck tor a short drive with the empty 105 trailer attached.
Nothing in the truck except me and troop seats.
Going up a small hill the truck got very weak, rpm dropped, and it lacked power for 3 seconds
and then started working ok. Same thing again in 1/4 mile. This...
Has anyone put Selectros on with MRAP wheels on the 6 bolt adapter?
I am wondering if there is enough room too grab the outer knob on this configuration.
11167-01 now $890.00. Holy omg!!!!
I am 95% sure that I found a truck for me.
I am a former Deuce owner but sold my last M35A2C a few years back for stupid reasons :(.
I will need to drive it about 370 miles to get it home if the deal goes through.
I want to purchase locking hubs for the front and was thinking about
putting a...
Gee thanks guys. I have been without a Deuce for 5 years and after reading this thread I can no longer sleep at night. All I see is me behind the wheel of a W/W truck on a hunting trip with my son. :) Kidding of course. I can not think of anyone more deserving of a beautiful truck like this...
With the fact that the 2.5 ton is not nearly as easy to find now due to the Government purge, is the 2.5 still the lesser choice between the two?
Let's be fair as the 2.5 ton is a really good truck too.
I find myself in the same situation as I only have an M1009 that I have had since 1995. I...
The "sand" is right out of the tank. The in-line filter is before the electric pump which is about 1 foot forward of the tank. Then the electric pump and then the OEM firewall mounted filter.
I do not have a filter in the return line and thought about it but at teh same time the only cause...
I have been plagued with a fuel contamination problem for a couple of years.
I have added a small pre-filter as a temporary measure to protect my electric fuel pump.
I have changed the filters, flushed the lines, and even took the tank off and scrubbed it clean.
I figured that since the problem...
I am reviving this old post as I have search and can not find newer information.
1984 M1009.
I have a hot start issue but not always when it is hot. Sometimes it depends on what mood he is in. lol
I had the problem before I replaced my whooped out starter. I have replaced the relay under the...
Here is the tire that I decided to buy for now.
The jeep will not be on the road until right around Christmas
so I can not post a mini-review until after that.
Jim (jimm1009)
It sounds like I may come that way to have mine mounted.
If so I will bring them by for your review with a day or two notice. I am anxious to get them
on the road and see how they work. Obviously will not be the ride
of a radial touring tire but we are limited by the number of manufacturers...
Thank you very very much.
Jim (m1009jim)
PS: Allied Tire will take the old ones off and mount new ones for $25
including balancing. It is a little high but if they pinch my new tube they will
replace it.
They are all over this part of the state.
Jim
Anyone in the Louisiana chapter have some NDT tires mounted lately in the Baton Rouge, or Lafayette, or New Orleans areas?
I have brand new STA NDT's to mount with new tubes and I am no longer 29 years old (LOL). I want an older shop that knows
what they are doing when mounting bias ply tires...
