I doubt a headset is legal in any state.
However, I suspect cranking up cheap stereo components with distortion percentages that will certainly give you a headache, through a converter that will give you even more distortion, to compete with the exhaust noise, is not a very good way to go.
Did you ever make any progress on your wheel(s) project? I think originally the rims were heated and the centers where frozen before they were pressed together
What is "MLVW" ? Those tires in picture four look like the way to go. What are they? make and size? And those wheels? What are they off of? would love to have a set of those
I have the same 20K Garwood PTO winch in the bed of my 61 Apache as I do in the Boog. The Chevy has a 292 six cylinder. Under the same load, the 292 is grunting and sweating while the Multi Fuel is yawning.
I run my grooved 900x20's in the Winter. The 53's really don't work very well in the snow and ice. It's like driving on four big balloons and I usually end up sliding to the bottom of what ever and have to winch myself out. I think the 53's have too much surface area and don't really flex...
I cruised the Boog around in the snow today. There was only 12 to 18 inches of snow so I could go just about anywhere I wanted. I have a set of four tire chains for when it gets deeper, can't wait to try 'em. I also have a Video of the Boog crawling around in the snow I'll post up in a bit...
