Today I installed a new large rubber seal around the rear hatch door. I also replaced the hex head bolts with carriage bolts on the rear pillar to keep the seal from ripping on the hex heads. Earlier I added a piece of rubber across the deflector above the hatch door and that has already...
It looks great. I had to mount my camera under the beam for clearance. I was worried about road crudd on the lense but so far that has not been an issue.
That is s good idea as you know what they say, great minds and all that...plus my hoarding, ah, err, I mean collecting tendencies arose when I considered tossing them out. I drew them down yesterday and I am recharging them at a trickle charger rate (a 2 amp slow charge).
I brought the battery's over to NAPA and the parts guy retrieved a handheld load tester and came out to the truck. He did it right at the back of the truck. Thank God as I didn't look forward to humping those batterys to the back of the shop.
So he load tested them with the initial setting...
I had a pair of these Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries lying about for a while as I could not get them to take a charge. In fact the battery charger would stop and not even attempt to charge the battery. I bought a new battery charger a while ago and didn't really pay much attention to all...
Yeah I completely agree that something still isn't right with the light being on for a split second. the dimmer switch was a guess on my end as I knew it wasn't functioning correctly and I had been switching it on off and trying to get it to work or figure out why it wasn't working.
This was...
Taking the advice of some members I measured the resistance on the glow plugs. They ranged from 1.3 - 1.6 ohms. I also measured the voltage on the voltage converter I have installed. It measured around 7 going out and about 14 volts coming in. So I measured the battery and across the 12-volt...
I ordered a switch, wire, and some battery cable fittings. I now need to figure out where to install and mount the switch. I have the large Napa batterys and they don't leave much room in the battery box for a switch mount. Any suggestions.
My goal with posting this thread was not an expectation of a magic answer, but was that hopefully someone who had the same or similar problem would be willing to share their method of resolving it. My alternate goal was that perhaps someone may point me to a tech memo or an article I...
Lol, very true especially about connecting one to the other. And we all I know that you have a lot of magic answers up your sleeve....😎. The reason I connected them is because I was clicking on that switch on the floor on off and on off not 12 hours before the wait light started to act up...
I have a 2003 1045A2 with about 1200 miles on it. When I turn the ignition switch to run the position, my “wait” light won’t go out. Prior to this the Wait light would flash on and then off and the truck would start. It would stay lit for less than a second. When the weather is cool it has...
I would take truck number one. I assume you are going to need hard doors no matter which selection you make. And who knows what else is damaged other than the CV joint on number two. May need the female part of the door hinges which are relatively cheap as far as parts go in the Humvee...
