Is 45/35 safe on 16.00x20 goodyears at 55-60MPH? The tire shop advised me to not go under 70. I have not found any sidewall heating, but the ratings chart for the tires has a set of figures for PSI, load, and max speed in each row, and the only row with 55 is the 110PSI row. Which makes the ride...
Thanks! I am not interested in going into business, just looking for a TM or two on ancient electronic items. Are the toes to be avoided also including other electronics stuff or TMs?
One gentleman put a 454 chevy V8 in and was very pleased with the speed and power. he did put back the multi later for some reason but it was not clear other than he wanted to burn diesel. Somone else here put a big block mopar in a deuce and used it for mudding.
I found this in a surplus house in Omaha.
The RDZ receiver is alive.
The autotune is very nice to watch.
The RF tuning (VFO) is apparently confused, but the IF is very much alive.
Receiver, shipboard, 225-400 MHz, 15.5 MHz IF, manual tuning or 10-channel autotune, Collins and National...
Thanks for all the things to check. I am not sure about caster, I thought it was built in and have not heard of shims being used, but I will investigate. The front end seems tight, nothing seems loose that I have been able to find. Is caster the setting that makes the difference between...
Generally on unknown speakers:
Take it open and find the speaker terminals on the speaker. Measure it with an Ohm-meter. If it is 10 Ohms or less, than it is an 8 Ohm speaker and can be used as such. beware it might be rated for only 1-2 watts max.
See if there is a transformer or metal...
i have a drveability issue and I hope the experts with experience can help.
I have my tires issues pretty much worked out, have fixed the spare, etc etc.
The truck is an M818 with an M109 box, 16.00x20's, and the box is 3" above the frame via oak planks. The other mods are a lift gate and a...
here is a scale drawing of tire sizes which also shows the vehicle lift added by each one over stock, however the 14.00x20 are not included. Just the 9.00, 11.00, and 16.00 (53"). What was the diameter of 14.00x20 tires? Was it 46"?
If the battery terminal was smoking then you have a bad connection there.
Rene M, please say more about these air heaters. Where to look up this technology? The M818 was the devil to start in 0-20 degree weather. Lots of cranking and lots of white smoke till it caught. Then it was just fine...
Most of this has been resolved. The only outstanding issue is the un-approved labor overcharge of $1000. That should be cleared up soon.
As for the pump cost which is admittedly double what it should have been, the shop they use for pumps does good work as evidenced by the way the truck runs...
wow- look me up in south dallas! PM sent..
It is M800 series stuff?
I am not done with the investigation. I will say this: If I am not satisfied by whatever bill adjustments and explanations for costs they present regarding this surprising business, I will say who it is, and out of fairness I...
Did not notice or did not care. you pick.
I have realy scrutinized the invoice and analyzed it. There is an ongoing discussion about the labor at the present time. The magnitude of the labor charge error seems to be $1,017.36
Has anyone ever picked something up and charged it and then later...
"eliza" is the name of an AI program that can run on small computers. It generally does not post messages to BBS by itself but who knows what people with idle time will code up. It may also be a jest along those lines.
It may also be the output of a language translator program being used by a...
items can be reported to ebay as suspected shill bidding. It's very likely the bidding was by shills on that one. I think that truck is worth its weight in tin. Maybe $1000.
To prevent such reporting, ebay has implemented policy of a drop down menu that does not include suspected dishonesties...
That old place there with the bench and checkers table - I think you found a piece of America! I'm glad you found it. I sometimes worry that it is slowly going away. I always go looking for America when I travel. They've all gone to look for America..
Well it is the same tach cable as before and it worked before. The Cummins guy said there is an unobtanium piece that goes on the end of the cable, but I suppose I can fiddle with it. I have some high temperature dielectric tape that might go one turn on that and do the job.
I've never seen one of these optical testers. I've always load-tested. This the approx. same thing?
