That's a thought. I know someone that was with that unit. Will ask him about proper markings, etc. The CARC was applied professionally. They were geared up already doing boxes for water purification units. They're apparently being built locally.
Glad you're 'hardware' is safe after your...
Any and all information is appreciated, including photos. Will help eliminate any guesses. I had an M818 with heater (cabin) but didn't pay much attention to it way back then. I suppose it's technically an arctic kit since it includes a radiator muff?
Anyone know where I can find the actual docs to install a kit in an M818? I've searched, yes. I've also scanned every page of docs on the old site. Nothing. Did I over look it? It's possible!
Thanks much!
Very comfy looking. I even like the seat covers. I personally have the Ron "Burgundy" shagadelic edition carpeting. Would love to find a nice (and I do mean high quality) rubber matting for the entire interior to replace it. Suggestions?
I'd like to do a Maryland ANG K-9, but they might not exist, so....we have to wait, so we might as well see....
I should have finished photos very soon. That CARC is about 2mm thick. Pretty amazing stuff.
Very helpful, thanks. The part number was exactly what I needed to find it efficiently. My '95 Land Rover Discovery has a Hummer 6.2 in it and the rear vacuum pump had a terrible leak. This should do the trick. Yes, it has both types of pumps installed.
I'm having the same M818 hard-starting, slow acceleration, and slow to idle symptoms described. Found the emergency cut-off puking fuel so I rebuilt it. Put it all back together and the hard-starting, etc., still continues. Will try to pressurize fuel system to see if a fuel leak will be more...
Yeah, really. I hope they chastise the college girl that put that on their website so she quits in tears.
I can't imagine the organization's leadership deliberately misleads anyone. It's a stupid oversight. If you take a look at their inventory, they've done it right and first class on so...

Whatever it takes to keep history alive, I can overlook the symantics. There were ~675 of.......
<<<------- THOSE Marder 1's built. One left in existence. What choice did I have? I built one. I have no problem with OT-810's representing the German SdKfz 251D for some historical context...
It disappeared so quickly, do you think it could be condensation/water in the fuel? Looks like some nice clear exhaust to me otherwise.
If the tank wasn't full when you got the truck, it might have been condensation/water.
Ding Ding Ding....we have a winner!
Bill, that Marder 1 replica was built on an M-5 (I was told anyway) high-speed tractor chassis. I powered it with my grand mother's 1978 Caddy 300 hp V8 and TH400 trans. The thing turned out really quick. Made for some fun reenactments and living history...
Wolf, I think you are right. Those wheels don't look like mine. They look like what's on my Unimog 404.014 funker. I'll swap them out and send over a photo. I appreciate knowing about the tire manufacturer. I'd better buy up as many as I can!
