Wolf,
Thanks for the photos. Did you see Frank Flick there? That bugger needs to send me an email.
One other question....do you think that the Unimog 404 wheel/tire combo will fit the B2000? I have an extra set and was considering installing them. If not, any suppliers over there for the 16...
That's quite possible, Wolf. When we ground down the paint to expose the various layers, we found first a tan primer, then a sort of grayish green (Bundesweher) then Red which seems to match RAL 3000. That would have made it a fire service vehicle, or Catastrophen or Zivilian Schutz? Anyway...
Thanks Wolf. I did notice that, yes. I also noticed that my 1958 Berna 2US would accept both designs.

Thanks...

Not sure if this was mentioned, just wanted to be sure you didn't...
My apologies. I didn't mean to imply the Avgas has ethanol. I was just warning of any fuels with it, don't use it. To my knowledge, ethanol is not FAA approved.
One other thing I wanted to mention. Don't use fuel with Ethanol. As I understand it from a recent FAA / Rotax seminar, fuels with Ethanol can separate while stored and this concentration of alcohol is what can do the most damage to the engine when run, and seals that it sits against. I'm...
Hey guys....
Not sure where to post this, but thought I'd keep y'all in the loop during the color change and WW2 'conversion' of the Borgward. It's a 9 seat convertible intended as a staff field vehicle / command car.
