Great truck! Back flush the heater core with a garden hose and get an idea of the flow. You should be able to solder the pin hole. Thats what a Radiator shop will do. Or just take it to one. Its not an uncommon problem. Getting it out, is the big job. Lee in Alaska

With engine wear, compression falls off some, and that is a major cause of the engine not starting, in cool or cold temperatures. There may be other problems too, but low compression/white smoke is a big reason why they won't start - that goes for any diesel. Give it a sniff of starting fluid...

Use drain oil! Think recycle! Try to get a hot day & use a paint roller with a broom stick screwed into the roller handle. It goes nice and fast and works well. I like the oil from diesels best. It will leave things a nice black & look sharp in a couple of days. Lee in Alaska

200f is not a high temperature for a working transmission. 150f is relatively cool, but you have to be real tough to hold your hand on a 150f surface. So don't be real surprised if you get burned. Lee in Alaska

Sounds like an "air lock" in your heater. System needs to be full with cap on radiator. Bring up to temp, and loosen clamp on heater output hose. Just barley crack hose off of fitting, until coolant comes out & not air. Again, cap needs to be on! And up to temp - you will have pressure in...
