Can a Deuce to tow a Deuce on a trailer without a CDL ? Yes.

I have a CDL! If I had a trailer with a weight rating capable of hauling a deuce, I go for it! Sometimes we go slow, but it would be a "go"! In fact, I have pulled far more weight then that, in the old days, with a M211 gasser, up the AlCan! BUT...... Any one of those Chicken Coop Guys can...

    Deuce Tire Chains

Chains make progress possible when "airing down", single tires, tread styles, fat tires, just make progress hopeful. Always use three railers on duals. When installing on duals, fold the three railers in half long ways. Lay them across the outside dual, and fold them over onto the inside tire...

    Transmission Leak....

I'd just do it when engine is stopped. Might take a couple of cans. Otherwise, I agree - that water is plenty deep enough to get into the transmission, especially the front end. When you stopped, is probably when it gets in. Lee in Alaska

Winch Cable Repair - Need to remove ~ 14 Ft

    Deuce Jackshaft

This is a common problem, found in other vehicles too. For instance the M211 & M37s are the same way. Replace the nuts with Grade "c", or equivelant. if you replace the bolts, its very important to have the shoulder smooth (no threads) in the area where the flanges meet. I have done this so...

    m105 camper

It will make a real quick, "bare bones" camper, with just the canvas on. Take a piece of 3/4" plywood about 32" wide and notch it so it fits on top of the trailer sides, between the side rack stakes, in the front. That makes a shelf for gear and a coleman stove. More gear storage under it...

    need an opinion

Those starters are industrial grade - they should last many years. The $100 should be fine too. Lee in Alaska

M105A3 to A2 landing gear conversion

Yeah, one gal did the spare tire rack deal on the right front corner of a 105. She had pictures. Seems there was enough clearance for most applications. It was mounted to the frame. From the picture, I thought that you could trim the spare frame and get it a little higher. Don't know about...

Have 4)3116's Would they work in an M35A2?

I'd want to keep the air compressor after the swap. it is industrial grade and that is far better then any electric. Air is necessary for most trailer applications, and is awful handy for an air hose. Lee in Alaska

    my service shop is fired.

Don't pay them!!!!!! Cancel the check or put a hold on the credit card. My regards to you. My blood pressure gets cranked, just reading your notes here. I'll bet they used some funky crimp connectors too. Keep us posted Lee in Alaska

    Snatch Block Rating?

The thing that happens when you get into a "stuck", is that you use what you have. Almost by defination, you do what you have to to get out. Often, you don't have all that you need either. That block you have will be welcome, and will probably do the job. Just be real careful what your...

    M37 Fuel Pump

I tried to keep the stock pump, rebuilt it several times, but finally replaced it with a 24v electric. One tendency for the stock pump, is to put out excessive pressure. Actually, when I put in an in-line pressure regulator, cutting pressure to 3#, it ran better. Another tendency is for the...

Alaskan MV owners? DMV Registration questions

10.000#.... Whats the problem? Many years ago, with an M211, I got it below the 10g's. Stripped it. DMV doesn't watch you weigh it. Cab & chassis. Not much in the way of checks here either. I'm a rancher, so I do it with a farm tag. Otherwise, don't try to cross the bridge till you come...

    Engine Questions

To check for air leaks on the suction side of the turbo, use some little sniffs of starting fluid - the engine will speed up when you find it. This, of course, doesn't work on the pressure side. Lee in Alaska

    M35A2 towbar Question

Medium. The large takes a crane to move around. Not sure of the pin size on the 715. But the feet are interchangable, to acomodate different pin sizes. The deuce is one inch. Lee in Alaska
