Re: RE: Fuel in oil? cause
That seems to contradict mine and other people's results. The FDC is not needed. There are some here running 100% UMO. I have been at 75-80% UMO. I bypassed my FDC long ago.
The multi-fuel engine does not use a common rail system. The injectors are external...
You would want to use a oil to coolant heat exchanger. Not a standalone oil to air like in a car or pickup. The trans heat is dumped into the engine's cooling system. Then the radiator dissipates the heat.
I got to tour the Allison plant a couple weeks ago and followed the 1000 assembly...
I search on mufflers will show you many pictures and the support bracket needed.... And where to buy the "NAPA Muffler" for much cheaper then what NAPA sells it for.
Do you have a Deuce? Do you understand the LDT oiling system? You might want to reconsider handing out that advice.
{Edit in below... I'm little blunt at times..}
A stock LDT engine takes 12-15 seconds to build any oil pressure. Synthetic oil alone will not stop excessive engine bearing...
Just to add a bit to this... It's not just WMO that will burn fine with the FDC bypassed. It's all approved fuels and many that are not approved. The FDC does not make it a multi fuel engine. There is no realistic need to have the FDC connected. The later model pumps didn't even have them...
Circuit breakers are only "used" when there is excessive current. Don't short it and you are fine. But that is beside the point. You don't need to bypass any of it. The horn solenoid is always powered. It requires a ground provided to the solenoid to be activated. Have a relay control the...
Can't speak to restriction of your muffler. However, the muffler that CarQuest sold you is not the same muffler that, on here, is considered the "Napa muffler". That one appears to be far shorter. See picture below.
In a quick search of "muffler", I found this info. No need to over pay.
Get a GM 350 engine oil pump from Autozone. You can tap it to 3/8" NTP and connect an electric drill to it. Pumps over 10 Gals a minute. That's what I use because it's the cheapest way to do it. Bjorn's pump would be the best, just the most costly.
Well, the "yea, I'm a democrat" signature was added in response to a several page thread posted a year or so ago that was insulting and ignorant. The avatar was just added in response to the political comments in this thread. In my history here, you will find me only responding to, not making...
Ah, Part 2a:
Here's an example:
How much is your Deuce's Insurance
Deuce insurance questions are posted every week or two. A quick search of "insurance" in the Deuce Forum yields results.
Once of the best things about this place isn't the ease of asking questions and getting answers. It's...
Fantastic response! 26 replies before I could even check back in... Some on topic, some having nothing to do with the issue posted. But that's ok.
Let's take a look at what I wrote in two parts....
Part 1:
Sorry, I should have said "There are...", not "is".
Let's go ahead and take a...
There is now more "Stickys" at the top then there are active topics. How about consolidating some and thin out the unneeded ones.
The noobs need to learn how to search. They shouldn't need to be hand fed.
You need to be checking voltage output of the alternator with the engine running under load. A carbon pile load tester is the only correct way to pull enough load. Turn on all loads and check DC voltage and A/C voltage.
My battery gauge is incorrect. Those gauges are a joke and should not...
