I guess if you just used the dog bones and made entirely new mounts for them they could possibly work. They are also a bit short for my liking. I just don't know how much articulation they would offer. Or if the rubber ends would survive for long under those circumstances. I guess it could...
I'm not sure how the lds injector pump makes such a difference. Maybe the timing on the fuel rates is a bit different? It can't be the max fuel rate alone. The ldt pump can be cranked up to the point it will melt pistons.
To me the spin on filters and delco alternater made my truck more civilized to maintain. My favorite upgrades, in order of top to bottom, would be 395s, a pair of a3 suspension seats, and a muffler. More to come but that's where I'm at now. The air o matic steering will probably be #2 when...
I would download a speedo app on your phone or get a gps unit an verify your speed before you panic. My speedo always clocked a bit slower than what I was actually going. Of course, that got much worse when I added larger tires to the mix.
I bought a current production short style from tnj 2 years ago and I haven't had a minutes problem with it. I don't really know if the short style is any better than a long style. Just relaying my experience.
I realize this. But the multi fuel does not like to be revved. It has a weak bottom end. It's prone to throwing rods along with broken cranks. Gaining rpms isn't the way to gain reliable horsepower from these engines.
Considering cranks also break on these engines I don't think removing material from it and turning it faster will be a good idea. Diesel engines don't like high revs. Balancing the crank and other rotating assembly would save some wear and tear.
One thing I'm wondering is how will adding boost and more fuel in the MF affect the already failure prone head gaskets? I have wondered if having a custom copper head gasket would help with this problem. Any thoughts on this?
I wouldn't say the long style has a felt seal. Rather, it has a wiper to hold oil and coat the walls of the air cylinder.
Keep in mind I'm not trash talking the long style. Just my observations. If I had a long style on my truck I would not be concerned in the least bit. Or if I came...
Ya pretty much the same here. If I stay in town I don't wear muffs but if I was on a long trip or on interstate I still wear them. But, only because of the drive train whine. The exhaust note is still very pleasant at 2300 rpm. I'm hoping when I dynamat the crap out of my cab I hope to be...
No sorry I don't have a sound clip of mine. SkinnyR1 has the 3535xl on his truck and he seemed very pleased with how quiet his truck is now. The 3535 on my truck is impressively quiet to the point I don't wear hearing protection anymore. So if the 3535 works that well then I imagine the...
Only if the one on your truck is bad. In all honesty, I don't believe you would notice the difference between the 2.
I will say this though. I'm also sure someone will disagree, but I believe the short style is a little easier to maintain. Only in that I don't believe they need to be...
That looks a lot like the Jerry cans made by Midwest. Except without that incredibly retarded epa approved "safety spout". Seriously, who thought these new gas can spouts were such a good idea they are mandatory!?
