I wonder if a Detroit would even be noticed in a bobbed deuce. In a jeep yes small tires short wheel base, but a deuce? I'm going to find out I guess cause I'm putting detroits front and rear with lockouts on the front.
Yeah I'm pretty sure those are detroits at those prices, one of the best lockers you can get. And considering they are the same prices as smaller vehicle lockers we should all consider ourselves lucky. The size of rockwells you would think they would be $1000 a piece. I had $2000 wrapped up in...
Yes I have.... Started working for my uncle doing truck tires. I worked in tires for 13 years. My grand father drove triaxle dump truck till he died and drive truck in the army. My dad has been a mechanic for 25 years. And I have been a certified welder for the past two and I am a supervisor of...
I'd rather not.... I've been dealing with and working on tractor trailers for the last 15 yrs and those glad handles break and leak at the most unopertune times. I'd rather just have a quick couple on the back of the truck. I under stand what you guys are saying it's easy, but I'd rather not lol.
Or would have been most likely told or asked why did I bring up a thread so old or never have gotten a response. I wonder sometimes why this isn't a blog when all your ever told is to go search the "forum" then it would take away your thought of "useless crap" and the next hundred guys asking...
What's the difference? that's the beauty of a forum...... People interacting and conversing with each other instead of saying "go search" when half the threads don't work.
Yeah that's what I read in all the searching I've done, that the 3/4" works great on the deuce air. I plan on adding a 10 gallon tank in the bed tool box with a valve so it won't be filling constantly off the truck till I need it. Only thing I want to change is taking the glad hands off and...
How's the 1" gun work on the deuce air supply? Like I said I ran 24/7 road service doing tractor trailer tires and heavy equipment for years and we had air compressors that ran off hydraulic pumps and they worked excellent. I was only going to get a 3/4" air gun
Thank you gimpy that is exactly what I was looking for, well not the husky tool kit but it answered my question! I have a decent set of tools at home and a second set that is even bigger at work. But I wasn't sure about sizes of bolts and nuts on the deuce.
My my dece is gonna be the ultimate...
Yeah for sure on the 8pt axle nut socket, and I have tire tools I did that stuff for 13 yrs so I have hammers irons and sockets. Also plan on keeping fluids and extra filters too. I was just curious on socket and wrench sizes.
