I had a federal 6.2 diesel that looked military but was not, it looked a lot like that and was for the Feds to use. It had the commercial Blazer logos, it was not military , it just looked close.
Give in, Buy that truck, Trust me, they are really fun to work on, parts are cheap, they can burn crappy salvage yard gas if your worried about fuel costs and they are tougher and better looking than the M35A2. Look at the photos.
Here is my 1952 M211 next to my 1967 M35A2
We had an old Cat dozer we used in Guam, I know it sounds nuts but we had the exhaust going up, doing a 180 and basically facing down. I have to find a photo. Its hard to describe imagine an upside down J . It worked and kept the monsoon rains out of the engine.
You really need to consult with the local zoning officer, and if he or god help you she approves, get that approval in writing. All it will take is one decrepit nasty busy body next door complaining all the time for the zoning officer to change their minds. All of the sudden, property values and...
I really like my two M211 trucks, they are fun to drive and a reb shift kit would fix that pesky problem with the trans servos being lazy. Sorry to say a 400 is not ann option for that engine, but call a place called transdapt and get hold of an adapter plate and as I found out an Allison auto...
I looked around for the box, I do not have it any more. Here is the number for TCI, I bought the hi tourque diesel converter kit and the super kit for the transmission ( has steels and frictions and every wear part and seal in the transmission. I had installed the towing valve plate but unless...
One of the transmission parts firms makes a upgrade and update kit. It has heavy duty frictions and a modified plate for the valve body that enhacnes the 6.2 performance. I thought I bought it from Jeggs and the kit was from TCI. If you do a rebuild it would be a good idea to use this kit. I...

If anyone is going to the Tobyhanna Depo show, I am just 8 miles away. Right down 611. I would bring it to the show, but I have to rebuild the transmission first. Its slipping bad.
That has to be from the same program, its on an old ww2 style truck, what website is that on ? It must be the other one. I know the other M211 truck was destroyed so that has to be on of the other trucks they built.
She can did about 11 feet down from the back . She is faster than my Kubota, but harder to run, its the old 4 stick setup with the two foot pedals. You really get confused going from a moderrn machine to this one.
Oh and before I forget, they weigh HALF of what the brass version weighed. The only other thing I did was put new rubber mounts top and bottom, my old ones were dry rotted.
A few people have asked, well here are the photos. When I bought my M1009 the radiator was missing. Some fools from forestery had cut it out when this was turned back in from a local fire company. I was not going to pay $400 for a new one and I was not going to try some of the used beat up 25...
