Pulling my hair out! Please help before it goes to the scrapper.

Before I got into the military vehicle collecting I ran a fleet of trucks for a utility company. We had 25 GMC trucks all powered by 6.2 diesel engines. 9 times out of ten when it was overheating and we had to replace the head gaskets we would send the heads out to be checked for cracks. Almost...

What the **** is this ?

The panels on the rear body did not feel like steel, they had a plastic feel but were like a woven rough feel. There was a generator in that body section behind the cab, it was a industrial Kuboda diesel . The glass observation tower on top is what caught my eye. I have seen something like...

What the **** is this ?

I was at a military parts dealer today. I saw this monster parked at the place getting woked on. I have seen some heavily built up truck but this looks impressive. Ok I know this has to be some custom work or something, my question what the **** is it ! Is it based on a real truck design ?

    Has anyone?

If your talking one of the disc conversions for the deuce, again no the factory dodge ram system will not work. Too little volume of fluid being moved to supply all four discs. Also the factory ram setup is front disc, rear drum. That is two different size chambers inside the the factory master...

    Has anyone?

Ok, take it from some one who has modified a lot of old days brake systems. You first have to see how many Ounces of fluid gets displaced by the original master and the replacement. Also you have to take into account operating PSI and how and if a booster was used. Looking over a factory 4x4...

Military Tractor going up for auction

Engine is still together, it looks like they just gave up when it started knocking and started butchering it ! Its a shame but the bidding is already up to $810.00 and to get it towed to here is going to hit me another $900.00. So from what every one is telling me I should forget it.

Military Tractor going up for auction

The guy from Forestery told me the engine had a bad rod knock before they started stripping it. Air brake pedal assembly is gone, compressor is gone, one air tank rotted. The wires along the fire wall are cut and some towards the rear of the floor in the truck. There is also some hoses cut...

    Cat 3116

I saw ones for 10K and up , but is that nuts ? I bought the whole truck for $5500. And it was a roll back I still have the deck. Can you imagine a deuce roll back, that was one of my crazy ideas. I was going to put low pro tires on a m35 and make one. My wife told me I was insane I spent...

Hi there, I need some input . I went a little crazy a few months ago I bought a GMC Topkick that was in an accident just to get the cat 3116 turbocharged diesel engine and Allison transmission to drop in my 1967 M35 Deuce. I was also going to rob out the AC system and modify it to my truck. I...
