I agree, iatractor. I think one key point to be covered is economic impact. For every big player ( Memphis. TNJ Murray, etc) there are many small operations, potentially effecting thousans of jobs. Jobs are usually a good card to play with a politician, especially in an election year.

Your're right about the switch. It's jammed between the engine and generator. If I have to split it, i'll install a street ell to make servicing easier.

I am having trouble with the low oil pressure shutoff circuit on my generator. After running 5-10 minutes, the low pressure light comes on and the engine shuts down. Let it cool off, an it starts and runs till it warms up again. Has plenty of oil and the filter is clean. It shutting off...

That's what I thought, a lot of steel replacing aluminum and fiberglass. No reason you'd have to do it exactly like that though, a mig can weld aluminum with the right filler wire and gas.
