With the damage and that turning problem you should name your new truck "Bismarck."
If my brother didn't happen to be on base to inspect my truck the day before the auction I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten into this madness. Even with the inspection and the fact he was able to start the...
Not 109 specific, but here's a report from a computer based simulation of a M35A2 with M105 trailer going through a slalom course with different payload combinations. It discusses roll angle, roll rate, and yaw angle.
You might get away with small amounts of WMO in your HHO tank but converting over to 100% WMO use will require extensive modification to your existing oil burner. This link will give you the general idea.

Thought I'd bump this thread with some pics from my weekend. My fan door was rusty and leaky, and like others have said: "useless," so I removed it and installed a patch. I think the paint came out pretty good considering it I was doing it in 35-45 degree temps. I used a small paint gun and...
I don't think I can see the 105 lug nuts around my 109 box with elephant ear mirrors. I plan to install a backup camera on the top of the box to look down at the 105. I already have a camera installed above the pintle hitch, works great for backing up to it.
I'm currently experimenting with the harbor freight victor style AO torch kit for heating and cutting. The kit runs a little over $100 with a 20% off coupon. I got the bottles from a local supply shop. It has the regulator that will screw into a propane bottle although I have not tried that...
Has anyone thought of using the fan transformer as a 24 Volt charger for the truck batteries? I think that's what I'm going to end up doing with mine. I figure it might be a handy use if you're in the bush camping and the batteries got depleted but you have a small AC generator that plugs into...
The Army had a test for air leaks. As long as your soapy air bubbles grow to smaller then 3 inches after one minute@100 psi, you're good-to-go. :cookoo:
I was using that link as an example of what it looks like, but in terms of rating I assume that's in upwards force. Me thinks it'll have more holding power if its anchored vertically and being pulled at horizontally. In any event, I hope I don't get that stuck.
Edit: you could also buy two...
A guy I work with, that has experience with microwave antenna towers, suggested carrying a ground anchor that screws into the ground. Just spin it with a long pipe, breaker bar, etc.
Here's some I found with google:

I think I made that comment so I'll attempt to explain the logic behind it. In Westfolk's install video he mentioned changing the smaller filters after a drop in oil pressure occurs. The smaller filters would get clogged quicker then a larger one, etc. It makes sense to me based on the...
On mine I wonder if they had reset the odometer after the overhaul.
In 1981 it had 26930 usage miles according to Carnac's records.
In 1985 tags show it was overhauled at TEAD.
The 2009 GL mileage at auction was 26,968, just 38 miles different from 1981. I guess I'll never know.
