Advanced timing or as you believe something is not correct with all cylinders or injection. That puts to much load on the engine and the valves are talking. If you have ever driven a farm tractor and put it in high gear when you take off the valves ping just as it starts to get going.
I would...
That is to be used in extream emergencys. That is the cab boost line and the line to the intake manifold is not hook up. In extream emergencys like you need to double your speed or your passenger has diarrhea they can open it up and it gives you 110 lbs of boost. It is a one time use only...
OK I will find a station that has it and try it in a jar to see how long it takes to dissolve it. I am betting it will not just make it a liquid in a short time just sitting there. From reading more looks like there are some chemicals that are offered but they are very dangerous. I got lucky I...
If biodiesel would cut it how would straight vegetable oil do? I still have the tanks sitting around and thinking about trying some just for smits and giggles. The correct name for the tar is asphaltenes and seems to be a big problem in the oil fields too.
Is it like tar on the bottom. That stuff I forget the name but large storage tanks and large fuel bunkers for ships can have the problem. I had two tanks that had it and just replaced the tanks. I tried gasoline and it soften it a bit but then it just made it harder. From what I have read heat...
Just because there is a sticker on the oil filters you need to take a pic and show us or read up and be sure it is bypassed. I have seen the sticker on one engine but the FDC was not bypassed.
If you suspect a cylinder not firing you must find out. You could have trash blocking a port in the HH. You could have a injector not popping or even piston problems. You can use a screw driver or stethoscope and listen to each injector for uniform popping. You could feel or IR gun on the...
Just incase your firing order plate was some how got put on wrong. You can see it says Fan so that faces the cooling fan and cylinder number two is right above the fuel inlet port. Also there is an arrow with name plate that points to the Ambac tag on the side of the Head.
Thanks to everyone and I voted for Mkcoen but not many others. Yea my recovery has been going on since 12-10-15 but happy to say only lost what little mind I had left. I have to look on the bright side and I did not ended up in the hot spot to early. :usafss:
Thanks to all that voted. Yea wish it did not just sit in my back yard. I had plans for her but after waking up in the hospital everything seems to have stopped in my world thanks to the Gashole that ran the stop sign.
Yea if your not worried about picking up road speed fast then the lower gears could be shifted at a lower rpm. Yes the HP and TQ meet there at 1850/1900 but if you want more road speed out of any gear the rpm must be carried higher. As someone said before the upper gears might need more rpm so...
Glad to help and there was only one other time I remember this happened. Funny I corrected my #7 post and took out asking about the shim washers as my thoughts were only looking at the seal retainer. You can see in the pic I already had the shim washers circled.
