Ohh, I like that idea.
It's attached to the frame rail with tube welded to the base of the reel. 3/8" grade 8 bolts hold it all together. I can hang on the reel, so it should hold up fine to road vibes. Originally, I wanted to weld up a box to the reel, but I didn't have the extra steel...
Re: RE: On Board Air Hose Reel...Done
Yea, all in good time. A buddy of mine said he had an air tank that should tuck under the bed. Just need to get around to finding it in his barn and install it.
I have wanted to do this for some time. I had some extra hose laying around and I got a free 100 Ft hose reel a few weeks ago. So here it is. I just need to add a tennis ball to the end of the hose.
Good question... I put an A/C evaporator in mine...Still need to make the hoses to use it...
Cranetruck, at some point, would you be willing to move your oil filter below the oil cooler to see if your higher "time until pressure" numbers go down relative to the position of the oil filter?
I have been trying to contact GL @ Camp Lejuene for sometime. I have one number that no one answers. One that turned out to be Ft. Bragg... I have been trying to make contact to pickup some engines at Camp Lejuene. Does anyone have a good number to contact them?
As Cranetruck was saying...A Double Cardan joint assembly IS a Constant Velocity joint. It's the original CV joint before the Rzeppa (i.e. FWD Joint) and similar designed joints.
My friend won one of the M1009's at Fort. Bragg. We will be picking it up next week and would like to trailer it home. His trailer can fit can car as wide as 6' 1-2". Will it fit? ...Or should I find a tow bar to use?
Event 2884, Lot 2909. This was a blind purchase. Did anyone take a...
Cool gauge. You have a very full engine bay! Are you going to measure the average pressure difference with the stock filters too? It will help give a better perspective on the project.
I don't know why I had 7/8" written down in my notes. I even circled it! Anyway, yes it's 1"-14.
I remembered that I never added the final filter pictures (no longer bypassing the cooler). I figure it would be good to have them in the archives...
For the center bolt seal, I used a crush...
You could mount higher if it would make you feel better. Take a look at where I mounted mine. These XD filters are working great. I installed them back at the beginning of February 07. I didn't change the oil when I installed them because I wanted to see how well the filters would clean the...
My HF 1" works great. The only issue with it is its weight. After pulling off a few tires, my back is killing me! If only I had a lift that could handle a Deuce!...Wouldn't have to bend over.
