What do you think this is?

If it is an M135, what do you think are the chances of finding a stock bed for it? I understand they are different than the M211's and M35's beds (i.e. wheel wells).

What do you think this is?

That's good to know, I've never even looked at one of these before. Can you tell if it's an M135 or M211?

What do you think this is?

1952 GMC Military 6x6 And what do you think it's worth? He emailed back and said it "ran when I parked it" a couple years ago. I've owned an M35a2 before, how will this thing compare? I'm not necessarily a diesel fanatic, so the gas motor (assuming it's an OA331, right?) doesn't turn me off...

    Kansas City roll call!

Hey, I'm in Platte City, North of KC. I am currently without an MV but have owned two M715's, a deuce and an M1009. Probably don't have much time for get togethers (job, two kids, etc.), but I'd be happy to help answer any questions I can. Good luck!

    '51 willys for $104.5K..

Wow, what an idiot. Read the comments below the listing. He completely disregards the evidence given that his Jeep is a fraud. It's a nice looking Jeep, yes, but the only thing that makes 'em worth more than $10-20k is some sort of extreme authenticity or historical significance. That Jeep...

Looking for an M1008 in the Midwest

Good to know, thanks for the heads up. I'd sell the M715 outright for $4,500, too. I don't need the M1008 right away.

Looking for an M1008 in the Midwest

I know where you can find one, then :) There are pros and cons to each. The M715 has the cool factor, but requires much more tinkering and lacks some of the modern amenities that an M1008 has. To each his own.

Looking for an M1008 in the Midwest

1967 Kaiser Jeep M715 with winch, all original "I have a great M715 w/winch, heater, hard top, new seat covers, runs great, great brakes, 11k original miles, new McCreary SuperLug tires, spare tire, no rust. I've driven it on a couple 200 mile round trip outings on the highway with zero...

Looking for an M1008 in the Midwest

I'm looking to buy an M1008 in the Midwest. I live North of KC, MO, by the airport. Looking for a stock truck, no (or very little) rust, good tires, brush guard, shackles, everything works, but doesn't need to be a show queen. Would possibly trade (full or partial) my '67 M715 w/winch, bone...

Anybody going to Ft. Sill this week?

Haha....you know what else sucks in Oklahoma? Bob Stoops. Sorry, I'm a Tiger fan :) Anyway, it will probably run fine, but it just looked a little suspect. Stickers and writing all over the odometer, strange paint job, etc.

Increasing the size of my carbon footprint!

I don't know, I figure it's the 8 year-old in me that causes me to covet these things.

Transmission and Transfer Case fluid capacity

One knuckle from the fill hole is pretty much the standard on all MV trannies, t-cases and diffs.

    Bad turbo

It definitely went for more than I would've been comfortable with for unknown issues. Something like $1500, I think.

    Bad turbo

Well, I didn't end up buying the truck. Too many unknowns and I didn't have a chance to inspect it myself. Thanks for all the info, though, it will be good to know.

    Time for a new top

I've heard good things about their quality, but have also heard that it may take forever to get the top. Like 6 months to a year. People have had mixed results. I've never used them, so this is all hearsay.

    Bad turbo

I get what you're saying, but there's got to be a way to get the thing home without the turbo. Not every multifuel had a turbo, anyway. Can't I just take the darn thing off and put in a temporary flex pipe from the air cleaner to the intake? There would also be an oil line to deal with...
