Checking the oil isn't as simple as pulling the dip stick and looking at it any time you feel like it. There are compensations based on if it is hot or cold. There is a thread about it and a PM article. It would be good to add the correct procedure, which I don't remember off the top of my...
You can't get a form 97 if you don't buy it from the government. I don't think they can be transferred individual to individual in most states either. Not having a title can be a big deal in some states. We had a recent long thread on this topic.
The TM would be referring to 13G plugs, 60G and 070 are current limiting and should last longer but 30 min is asking a lot of them.
WD 40 used to work because of methane gas in the propellant. The current product will not work because the propellant has been changed. I am guessing silicon...
You can spend $100 if you want to but you really need to read this:

The ST85 is not the ford relay.
My first truck has this kit on it. Anybody know the history and purpose of the kit. It doesn't really bring the truck up to current US standards. I was thinking it might have been for Europe. The kit includes a rear facing front turn light and front and rear side markers.
If the truck...
The answer is in the FAQ thread in the sticky at the top of this forum. I used the ST85 relay the last time I replaced one. It is almost an exact match for the one the military used and is made in the USA. It even came with new nuts on all the posts.
That is normal for a bad control card.
The relay is triggered by the control card completing the ground to the light blue wire. The plus wire stays hot all the time. Since it is just an electromagnet it will show 12v at both posts. You can hot wire the relay by jumping the light blue...
If you flat tow it home, be sure to look real close at the tires. I don't know how many I have seen that look like they have 90% tread but are dry rotted from just sitting in the sun. I had one that I was going to use as a spare, that was so bad that it leaked air through the sidewall cracks.
I was told by several local tire and junk people that a plain chev wheel as wide as a M1009 was really rare. Almost all civi chev trucks that came out with that wide a wheel had rally wheels. The rally wheels fit just fine, I have a set on one of my trucks just to get it off the ground, but it...
The value of a title varies from state to state. In Mississippi I can title anything old for $100 title bond. In some states it is priceless, ie there is no legal way to get a tag without a title from the previous owner and that seems to be most common in the NE.
Now the idea of paying extra...
Glad hand is what you call the trailer connectors. What they sell at truck stops has an air chuck on the other end. Most of us make one with a quick connect that matches what we use in our shops so we can swap out air chucks or different air tools.
see bottom of this page...
Yes, we do it all the time. You can buy an air hose at most big truck stops that hooks into the emergency glad hand on the back or you can make your own.
Be sure to clean the fuse holder with a file or sandpaper on a screwdriver. Might be a good idea to unhook the ground first. When they get hot they tend to corrode.
I bought another seal from NAPA and test fit it on my old thermostat. It went on OK at room temp. It is a good idea to push it on before you put it in the truck. The first time I did it I didn't and it was about 20 degrees and getting dark and it didn't want to fit so I just ripped it out.
