Have you put a meter on the glow plugs to make sure they are getting power and heating?
Also what did the old plugs look like when you pulled them?

Can’t help you with the tires but this may help you with your speed and temps.
Go to a harbor fright or similar and get a laser temp gun. Hit the tires, brakes and diffs with the gun at each stop. You will get a baseline on the first drive of the day and compare race reading to baseline at...
Make sure you don’t get the BB’s that will biodegrade. Get the heavier plastic ones. If you need more intel google balancing beads.

If I remember correctly you can certainly tell when the fan comes on at idle but it’s not the end of the world sound.
Now at highway speeds it sounds like everything in the front is about to fly through the doghouse. I so wish someone had told me about that. I seriously pulled over because I...
It’s 10,001 for the tractor (or this case the truck) or the combination weight of the truck tractor at 26,001. A 1/2 ton and trailer is no where near 26,001.
The reason all 3/4 ton trucks have a GVWR of 10,000 is so they stay under 10,001 for the truck and even with 7k axles the combination of...
If it’s got good fuel and good glow plugs just crank it and let it warm up. You shouldn’t have to do anything other that wait. If you would like to idle it up a little there is a throttle control by your knee. Pull it out a little and give yourself a few hundred more rpms if you like. Unless...
The starting procedure assumes that you have 8 working glowplugs. The procedure is turn the start switch one click and wait for the wait light to go out. Then move the switch to the right until it starts. Allow ample time to warm up. If you are storing it outside and it’s cold consider a block...
I think he is right. I don’t think you can get one antenna to get both bands. You could do a 2 antenna setup and make one of the a 72 inch whip for your CB. You could make it look somewhat like it belongs.

These brakes are hydroboost, inboard disk, non ABS brakes. They are never going to feel like anything else you have ever driven.
I will say that before I swapped everything I would check the pads and lubricate the pins to make sure the pads are floating as they should and not slow to retract...
He is right on the money. Build / buy a grounding harness and install it before you do any troubleshooting. There is an outside chance that the harness will fix everything. The flip side is that if you don’t install the harness you could burn up every part you replace as you are troubleshooting...
