I would put the batteries on a charger and then have them checked with a battery tester to make sure you don’t have a dead cell or something like that before I did much troubleshooting on the truck.

Red river is awesome to deal with. Prices are very fare. I could literally spend an entire weekend just walking around looking in boxes.

This is very state depending. In many states as long as you are not engaging in Interstate commerce then you are not regulated by the DOT regs. That why you see papaw cruising through town in a prevose coach and no CDL is required.

That would all depend on the trailer. The trucks will weigh in somewhere between 11k and 12k. With a reasonable set up trailer it would be a big deal. I carry heavier loads with my F250.

They look cool but aren’t you worried about a low limb taking them off? I have never had any luck mounting anything above the cab.

Also consider installing a grounding harness. Good insurance for the future and will rule out grounding issues as part of your current problem.

Looks like I will be passing through MIssissippi, Alabama and Georgia on I 20 Thursday afternoon. If anyone needs transport to or from the rally I will have room on the trailer both ways.

I was say coat ha quite a bit to do with it. Most places already have ATF laying around. I use two stroke oil on older diesels because it much cheaper and it works.

They would work if there was a little adjustment in the linkage. The shift gates (I don’t know the proper word but the distance between the gears in the shift arm) are slightly different on different transmissions.
The real solution would be to put a plate over the factory hole and put a cool...
That’s why I stated in my experience. I was in no way saying it was scientific in any way. I use it and I have very healthy high hour engines. That is my point.

You can make an argument but my experience is different. I have 4 Diesel engines around the house all but the newest with high hours and using 2 stroke oil I have never had an IP failure or any other issue for that matter other than normal consumables.
Are there better things out there? Most...
As long as the linkage has some adjustment in it I don’t see why it would not work. Just about any 700 are that you get will have a parking prawl in it so you will have park as an option.

These Older diesel engines were not designed for ultra low sulfur diesel. They need a little lubrication in the fuel that does not exist in the new were fuels. I generally use two-stroke oil as it was designed to be burned but many people use ATF with great success. You certainly won’t hurt it if...
That is very true. The add details a fairly well built 700r. In stock trim they just sucked.
They can be built to hold a fair amount of horsepower and hold up fairly well. I have built several units for street / strip duty over the years.

It dosent say anything about a TV (lockdown) cable and bracket that I saw. That’s the big Issue for me is how to deal with the TV cable.
GM made a few trucks with the 6.2 and a 700R4 but I have never found a place to purchase a bracket to hold the TV cable available.
I would get a good...
