Anybody got an exhaust tip for the deuce? I need the part that has the flange at the base that clamps on to the vertical exhaust stack. I would prefer one with the curve at the top to help keep the rain out. I had to butcher mine to get my muffler on and I'd like to be able to put it back to...
You guys see any problems with the setup I've got there? Muffler too small? Too far up the stack?
It seems to run fine and it's quiet, so I'm happy, but I don't want to be gunking up the motor or overheating the turbo, etc...
Thanks for the input. I'm probably being paranoid, but I just thought I'd ask. The noise before the muffler wasn't terrible, but I live in a subdivision near town, so I thought it'd be better to be a little quieter if possible.
Unfortunately, I had to cut the exhaust tip to get it all to...
So, one of the first mods I've done to my truck is to put on a muffler. I was going to use the NAPA 21470 that so many have mentioned, but I had my CarQuest guy cross-reference the part and theirs came up $35, so I decided to give it a go.
I put it on pretty high, towards the end of the...
Yes, it did. I ended up using Jeremiah at Kodiak Transport (KodiakTransport on uShip.com). Although the load was heavier than I would've been comfortable with (and you can hear all about that here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=26616), he did a great...
Drexel Gardens, IN. Yeah, the M715 was cool and turned out really nice, but I'm pretty excited about this one. It's going to be a driver, not a restoration, and parts are easier to come by, so that will be nice.
Well, it finally came home. After weeks of waiting, false starts with haulers, etc., I finally got her home last night. I'm still waiting to figure out what year it is. The contract year is 1970 by General Products - Jeep, so I think it's somewhere around 70-73.
I bought it sight unseen, so...
Well, here's the pics. Unfortunately it was pretty dark, so this is the best I could do. It was a hell of a load. The guy was real nice and did a great job loading, unloading and securing. His pickup did not look stressed at all to me. The fire engine ran great except it had no brakes. It...
Here's another one. Here's how the data plate reads:
Stock Number: 2320-077-1617
ID Number: 04J-95371 0539-12641
Contract Number: DAAE 06-70-C-0001
General Products Division - Jeep Corporation
Right Front Bumper: 219 ASG
Left Front Bumper: 1313E-31
I bought the truck on July 24th, 2008 from...
