Nope, no change whatsoever. If the tranny was shot you would think you might still get some kind of noticeable change when you shift, but maybe not.

How would I know if I got it back on correctly (other than the obvious "if it works")? I just put it back on the same way it came off. I spun the torque converter several times by hand and I could hear the pump working, at least that's what it sounded like. Everything lined back up correctly...

I looked in the -10, -20 and -34 and couldn't really find any tranny removal or seal replacement instructions. Maybe I'm missing something, but it wasn't obvious. I suppose a Chilton's would be just as good.

Is there a seal between the tranny and t-case? Theoretically, there shouldn't be any fluid in there unless the rear output seal on the tranny or the input seal on the t-case was leaking, right?

So, it looks like I'll go ahead and drop the whole thing this weekend. What else should I do while I have it out? I only want to do this once, if possible. Rear main seal on the engine, output seals on the t-case? Should I separate the tranny and t-case or leave them together if they're not...

I need to replace the "front seal" on the tranny on my new M1009. It is leaking fluid all over and the PO claims that the "front seal" needs replaced. Does this sound right? What's the actual part name? Also, while I have it apart, should I go ahead and replace the rear main seal, or just...

So, I finally got an M1009 and, of course, there's a bunch of rust. The front inner fender skirts are pretty bad, but they appear to just be a bolt-in deal. The floorboards near the edges are pretty chewed up, as well as near the gun-mounts. The rockers themselves actually look pretty good...

Re: RE: Looking for a M1009 in Missouri Yeah, I talked to him. It's an old K9 unit, has a wire mesh divider, no back seat, rust through both rear fenders and tailgate. It's definitely a possibility, but it needs some work and a paint job. Thanks for looking!!

I was wondering if there was any way to mount an air compressor and the compressor for the air conditioner? I understand that if you convert to 12v you can free up one alternator's spot for the A/C compressor, but then would there be enough room for an engine-mounted compressor? Alternatively...

Hey guys, I think I may have an exhaust leak. It's a loud ticking noise coming from in front of the passenger seat, up high in the engine compartment. The weird thing is that, unlike other exhaust leaks I've experienced, it gets louder at higher RPM's instead of going away. It doesn't show up...
