    Deuce w/winch for sale

Already there....she put a stop to that, too :) In the last year, I've bought a 12 ga Browning Citori, an M1 Garand, a .45 LC 1895 Marlin and a pair of .45 LC Colt SAA's with consecutive serial numbers. I have a fetish for guns, guitars and trucks. Why can't I have cheaper hobbies?

    Deuce w/winch for sale

Yeah, we thought we'd try and get the hard part out of the way all at once. I haven't slept in 3 weeks.....

    Tranny Leak and Exhuast Leak

Re: RE: Tranny Leak and Exhuast Leak Yep. There is nothing supporting the t-case itself. Here is how I would do it (having just spent 3 days underneath mine): - Support the tranny - Unhook the t-case shift linkage and electrical connector - Unbolt the front driveshaft from the t-case -...

    Deuce w/winch for sale

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Deuce w/winch for sale No, I'm keeping the deuce, the one that doesn't need work.

    Deuce w/winch for sale

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Deuce w/winch for sale Man, I wish I could, but I just can't justify having two around, one of which needs a lot of work. Between the two, the deuce is much "cooler" and really doesn't need any work. The M1009 might be more practical, but it needs some love and it's...

    Cheap M1009 for sale

Okay, so I jumped the gun on the M1009 I just picked up. I really don't have the time for it and (the wife says) I need to work on finishing the basement. Anyway, my OD sickness is your gain. 1985 M1009. It's a pretty solid truck, but needs a few things: - front tranny seal - a couple...

    Tranny Leak and Exhuast Leak

There should be a rear tranny output seal and a t-case input seal. Both should be pretty easy to replace, but you may have to take the cross member and t-case adapter out. Be sure to support the tranny when doing this. You shouldn't have to drop the tranny to do either one. The front tranny...

    Deuce w/winch for sale

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Deuce w/winch for sale Okay, I've come to my senses, I'm going to keep the deuce and sell the M1009. Yes, I realize this is a little schizophrenic, but I jumped the gun on the CUCV and I really need to focus on finishing my basement, not on buying and selling green junk (so...

Looking for a M1009 in the midwest

Well, here it is, in all of it's rust-ridden majesty. Most of the front floor needs replaced, and the front inner fender skirts, but the rest of it is pretty solid. It runs great, seems to shift well (once my tranny leak is fixed for good), has good brakes, most electrical works, good glass...

    Battery cables and junction block

Hey, I've got the long battery cables and junction block that mounts near the rear seat off of my M1009. If anybody wants them, they're yours. $20+shipping. PM me if interested.

    Deuce w/winch for sale

Re: RE: Re: RE: Deuce w/winch for sale Haha...yep. What can I say, I have adult ADD :) Honestly, the thing started to crack my driveway and a CUCV is going to suit my needs a little better anyway. Mostly, I just wanted to play with a deuce, and for that, it was well worth it. If I don't...

    Transmission seal leaking

Yes, I doused it in ATF before I put it in. I think what may have happened was that I was low on fluid the first few times I started it and only got the fluid level up today. In the mean time, maybe the seal got dry and burnt up.

    Transmission seal leaking

Yes, out of the upper edge of the bellhousing and out of the drain hole on the bell-housing. It pretty much has to be the front seal, doesn't it? Unless the TC can leak, somehow, I don't see what else it could be.

    Deuce w/winch for sale

Hey guys, I'm waiting on my classified ad to be approved, but I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I have 1971 General Products M35A2 w/winch for sale in the Kansas City, MO area. I will update this post with the classified ad link when it gets approved. Here is the craigslist...

    Transmission seal leaking

Dipstick says I'm still at least a pint low, if not more. Still leaking, faster when it's idling, and even faster when I shift through the gears. What the heck? I replaced that front seal, could it have blown out already? I haven't had it above idle for more than a few seconds. I don't...

    Transmission seal leaking

Success!!!....sort of. So, I started the engine and filled, shifted gears, checked repeat, etc. etc. Eventually, it starting shifting into gear nice and smooth, no weird noises. Yay!!! Then, I looked under the truck to see a nice big pool of ATF...ugh. The whole point of this process was to...

    Transmission seal leaking

Okay, I've done some more reading. It looks like the tranny pump should fill the torque converter on it's own. I know there is fluid in the TC already, I just don't know how much. I'm going to try and start it up and get it warm and start adding fluid up to the fill line and see what happens...

    Transmission seal leaking

Oh crap, no. I didn't know you had to fill it up. I'm guessing the only way to do this is to take it all apart again? It still had some fluid in it, but a bunch came out when I pulled it apart. How full does it need to be?
