    profit margin..

I was thinking along the lines of NADA values for cars with perhaps 3 values: wholesale values or what you would pay GL, average trade in or what individuals would sale to individual and full retail or what dealers sale for: base truck ----------$1500 2000 2500 winch...

    profit margin..

RE: Re: RE: profit margin.. I don't think anyone here is operating on a strict % markup. I think a loose rule of thumb is to double your money if you are only in it for the money. In cars as well as MVs there is such a thing as book value or retail value. If you are buying from GL to resale...

    Member "Staging Lots" ??

RE: Stage Is this somebody in the business that can be counted on and has all of the insurance and such to get on base? And is he willing to do this for everybody or is it just a friends rate for you? The only problem I see is what is going to happen if someone bids on something and wins...

    CUCV injector return lines?

NAPA has a kit they can order that has all of the hoses and clamps. It is made in China like everything else though.

    confused about glowplugs

AC 60g are what GM recommends for all 6.2 and 6.5 engines. They are non swelling and temp compensating as far as I know. They are what I use in my CUCVs and I haven't had any problems. My local NAPA usually has them in stock. I just pulled one of the bad plugs out and took it and the new...

    Question on a EUC

They do a reverse number look up on the phone number you use. It must go back to the street address you list.

What's up with GL auction prices?

this is nothing new. back before GL I watched a sale were several deuces went for $12,000 and they were in poor condition to. It just happens every once in a while. Could be auction fever or dealers fighting to fill an order at twice that price.

Working my Representative on Demil B/Q items

Am I just tired, or does this mean we can't buy anything surplus that we couldn't buy new somewhere else? Isn't most everything we collect not commercially available? But then, GM did sell CUCV IIIs to the public. I am tired. I re-read this and it doesn't make much sense.

Price of a Multifuel injector pump?

My question would be, why would anyone pay more for a pump than the truck is worth?

    M35A2C

do a search for "condition codes" Short version is they don't mean a thing and have no relationship to actual condition. They are easy to get on the road here, but I don't know about England.

What kind of deal did you get on Uship? I was wondering what the going rate is for something like this.

    logging out problem

Clearing the cookies would explain why I have to manually log in every time I turn the computer on but would it explain why I get logged out when the computer is idle for a few minutes? I noticed someone else complaining they had typed a long reply and lost it because they had timed out. I...

    M-43 3/4 ton 4x4 Ambulance Truck

Yea, I should have said BIG price, like more than you paid for the truck. If you were lucky enough to find one. I know one guy that has one and the one on this list are the only two I have heard of in the last 20 years.

    M-43 3/4 ton 4x4 Ambulance Truck

There is such a thing as a NOS in the can engine, but you will pay a big price to get one. There was a thread here were someone found one. Be sure to check the engine because the cans were suppose to be air tight, but many have been opened or damaged at some point in time and the engines are...

    M211 Transfer Case

There is no high or low range for one thing, that is done in the tail cone of the transmision. Using any orther transmision in a M135/211 means changing the tranfer case for all practical purposes.

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

The way I read it, this is not being done at the legislation level, it is DRMO's response to the verbal abuse congress has given them for letting a few F14 parts slip through to IRAN.

M35A2 - FLIPPING REAR HUBS TO SINGLE OUT A DEUCE.

Is this the way the military does this? In other words, were the hubs designed to do this or is it just a coincidence that the bolt pattern is the same? Are there any issues with this being weaker? I remember the thread about heat, but after looking at the pictures, I don't see the issue...

2 1/2 ton fire truck auction

RE: Re: RE: 2 1/2 ton fire truck auction $3327.00, so there was at least 2 others after it. Seems like a lot for the condition it was in. It would have made a good show truck restored though. Might as well as add the pics for posterity.

    logging out problem

Any suggestions on how to not be logged out for inactivity? I tend to log in to SS in the morning and go through the new postings throughout the day. It seems though that if I am busy, I will come back and I have been logged out. That means I have missed all of the new messages that I have...
