RE: Inspection/Start List for Picking up a "New" 5
I have a 5 ton to pick up in TN soon. Am I to assume that there is nothing to add to the list for a 5 ton?
I think that as long as the reverse look up comes back to you it doesn't matter if it is a cell phone. In my case, it would have come back as a business name. I am only guessing that was what was wrong. I never heard back from that particular one.
They don't actually call you so it doesn't...
RE: Re: RE: Re: air compressor pulley tool
Can't you just add a pdf file to a post as if it were a picture? Actually it says "add an attachment" , most of us just use it to add pictures.
I had an EUC that I never heard back on back before GLs time. Back then DRMO would send you a letter after a period of time and ask you if you wanted to cancel the sale or wait some more. When I got the second letter I let them cancel the sale. I think the problem was that I was using my...
RE: Re: RE: Fuel milage w 465-1d M35A2 W/W
Are the new powerstrokes really doing that bad? The previous ones were getting close to 20 with a chip in them. I would hate to know a deuce got better mileage than my new pickup. :)
I guess what I am really asking is an opinion on which of the three would be the safest tower vs towie. From the pictures I can't tell if the M818 has the front air connections. Do they all have them? Would that make it safer to be the towie? Or would the increased power of the 5 ton make it...
I have two trucks to pick up at Smyrna, a shop van and a M818. I have been debating what would be the safest and cheapest way to get them home. Go get them with my M35 and tow one home and drive the other, or go in my pickup and drive both of them back. I am leaning towards going in the M35 and...

The Daniels tool with the right head would definitely do the job, but I think the silver one is the one that comes with the terminal kit form the military. The pdf catalog has a lot of interesting info on crimping if you like that kind of thing.

Removing your GEN lights will definitely make your alternators quit working, the bulb is a necessary part of the charging circuit. A faint glow is a known problem that some trucks have when there is nothing wrong with them. I can't think of any reason they would both be on bright without a...
I just read the posts on the G and it really looks like WI DOT wants to ban all military vehicles made after 1968 form the roads. It also looks like one of the fixes being considered is issuing them collector plates which isn't much better in my opinion considering the limitation of use that...
You need to read through the terms and conditions on GL including the EUC stuff before you even consider buying a truck from them. It wouldn't hurt to do a search for GL here and read through that to.
Bottom line is you better be prepared to wait 6 weeks for you EUC to go through then be ready...
Form the pictures, those look like they have been stripped down to be painted and a rebuild started. It would be interesting to know the story behind this and how far the rebuild has been taken.
Five tons are worth about twice as much as 2.5 tons in my opinion.
I guess you haven't been stopped by someone fresh out of training who is having a bad day. I don't think you have to be over 18 years old to be issued a gun and sent out by yourself for a small town police dept around here. My advise for when you are pulled over is to be nice and say yes sir...
The NAPA here in rural Mississippi has group 31 in both post and screw top. Sams wholesale has them to. I think there is more than one kind of NAPA store. The one here is a locally owned and been here forever.
I think the question is, what can you do to your truck and still be legal. Unfortunately for this discussion, MVs aren't on the police's radar and they will leave you alone for the most part.
All I can add to the discussion is that the Mississippi antique license plate law is for cars and...
