    Mill the head?

I measured the valve clearance and there was quite a bit even without adding in the thickness of the head gasket. I decided to cut the head .040, and this was completed the other day. Now I have to find time to put it back together. I suspect that I will need to set the timing ahead a little.

    Pre / Post Lubrication System...Done.

Perhaps an additional control modification would be to add a shutdown circuit to run the pump after you kill the engine. This would kepe the turbo bearings cool and reduce or eliminate the need to idle the motor for 5 minutes before shutting it down.

    Pre / Post Lubrication System...Done.

I guess that another option, as you mentioned in the first post, is to add the pickup line to the drain plug. Then the whole setup is easily reversible. Nice job BTW; I especially like the logic you designed into the control unit.

    Rear Flood Light Installation

That is a good idea. My M35 already has rear floods all the way at the back. I might just add a set as you did.

    E85 and WVO questions

That is a very good point. Today's gasoline also has a hefty dose of alcohol in it (depending on where you live). Around here, it is something crazy like 10 or 20%. Many gas stations here are alleged to add water to their underground tanks since the alcohol in the gas lets it absorb water...

    Rear Flood Light Installation

Easy. The backup lights energize the coil of the relay with a skinny wire to one side of the coil. The other coil connection goes to ground. One of the switched (NO or Normally Open) contacts on the relay connect to a good source of power, like right to the battery terminal, using a fat wire...

    24v LED headlights

This thread is filled with prices from $80 to $450 or more each. I understand also from this thread that the Truck-Lite LED lamps are well made. The obvious question is whether all of the lights mentioned on this thread are made by Truck-Lite, or are there other manufacturers in the hunt...

    E85 and WVO questions

    1. Is there any circumstance or cocktail mix under which it is acceptable to use E85 in a multiifuel vehicle? 2. Can WVO be used without doing something to neutralize the acids in it, and if so is this dependent upon what/how much it is mixed with?

All the stuff I did to my deuce, right here

I have had a pineapple grenade shift knob in my hot rod for many years. I bought it at my local Army-Navy store, and the cost was around $8. BTW your Deuce is very well done and thought out.

    Electric Fan on Deuce

If you need Water Wetter to keep things cool, then you are really at the hairy edge - OK for a race car but not as much for a Deuce. (BTW, a small amount of liquid dishwashing detergent works as well as WW, and costs a lot less.) Shrouds can be very important. With an electric puller, you can...

    Another Bobbed Deuce Project

I might be mistaken, but you might have just established Best Practice for the rear suspension of a bobbed Deuce.

    Electric Fan on Deuce

I agree that 2 or even 3 smaller fans would be more effective than the one larger one. You would also gain flexibility by staging them. If you set the cut-in temp for the fans too low, then they are just running but the thermostat will close to restrict water flow to maintain 180. So there is...

Epic Deuce gets a hood decal

Fantastic. BTW the original 'Punisher' movie was terrific. The sequel was awful. IMHO.

If you use zipper boots, can you add grease to the hub from the rear?

    M35A2 Driver's Seat Back Removal

Is there a way to remove the driver's seat back without removing the entire seat? Tried search, one thread addresses it, but he pulled the seat.

    Adding A/C and powersteering

I would think that a regular old Vintage Air aftermarket A/C kit would work fine. You might need to add some insulation to that cab and seal the various openings a bit better.
