    Wheel chocks?

Well, added to the list of things to do next meet / show is drain air tanks when parking for display.

Back feeding main panel breaker questions

Not exactly. A 30 amp breaker will allow > 90A through it, for short periods of time. (That's how my heat pump that's has a 96A LRA can start and run on a 30A breaker.) The trip point of a breaker is some curve that takes current and time into account.

How does stuff get declared scrap?

I meant in the decision process, as in if it says must mutilate, DRMO made the call. etc.

How does stuff get declared scrap?

    Mutilation required matter?

How does stuff get declared scrap?

How does / who makes the decision on what lots wind up going out as scrap? Without going into specifics, if there's an auction listing some scrap that has things in it that are normally sold as non-scrap, how'd they windup in a scrap lot? GL didn't want to deal with it? DRMO made a call? Bad luck?

    IronPlanet is a joke!

Why? Each state has a definition of what a Commercial Vehicle is for CDL purposes. Each is different in subtle ways. I would be surprised to find the type of insurance you have is mentioned in any of them. Commercial Insurance doesn't (necessarily) mean "Commercial Vehicle" for drivers...

BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

I can't decide if I'm sad or happy I'm not there. On one hand, my wallet would be emptier. On the other, it's stuff I'll likely get at some point anyways.

    Distracted driving

In WA. Exempt. Because professionally trained. The special snowflakes who are late for meetings are worse than the cell phone crowd, imo. Near a large cooperate campus I work at the most dangerous time to arrive is ~10 minutes before the hour in the mornings.

    Shipping crated items OKC...

Ahhh.. OKC Auction guys are great. Turns out the delta in price is all in the shipping rate they got and the ones I was getting quoted from the guys at work.

    Shipping crated items OKC...

Good point on the pictures. And sure it's not 30 minutes. I'm just skeptical it's 2.5x the freight rate to pickup, store, and label.

    Shipping crated items OKC...

Won 6 town bars from OKC this week. Looking at getting them shipped, and could use some advice on how much prep they'll likely need. The quotes I'm getting have a pretty wide span to them. I can get YRC to pick them up and label them, and OKC auction services wants about double that amount to...

I'm looking forward to this one. Especially since I'm thinking about a 934 next.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Nope. And in retrospect I'd have done it a bit differently. (I used 3/8 fittings, and should have used 1/2") Look at this post: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?105530-quot-Major-Zippidy-quot-M923-build&p=1431405&viewfull=1#post1431405

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Block heater installed. (It's now 60 out during the day of course) Got the fittings and valves installed for a coolant filter. And the filter and base are on the passenger seat. Maybe next weekend.

    Fort Bragg 5 ton assistance?

Ahhhh! I looked at that one. And then thought "No way am I driving it that far." Well, good luck getting back.

    Adding PTO to 923A2

It can be done, is a pain, and required removing an extra screw from the toolbox mount. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?131039-Question-about-adding-a-winch-to-an-M923a2-that-never-had-one-to-begin-with&p=1637373&highlight=#post1637373

    Roadside safety: Stay Alive!

We live in a world where people have no responsibility for their safety. If someone gets hurt, it cannot be their fault for being stupid, it's the fault of the device / person / land owner who failed to provide a padded room safe experience for them. Given that, is it really a surprise that you...
