I've got a page on my site that shows the rack on my M37 in case you'd like to compare mounting.. :)
I've also got the specifications for the tools (the real reason I'm posting the link...).
I've snuck a ziptie onto each tool in addition to the three straps. Easy enough for me to remove when...
One thing that I have been kicking around since I like the body style on these trucks is to swap in a diesel. I can pick up a complete used schoolbus in my area for around $3000-$4000 with a Cummins ISB5.9 backed by an Allison automatic. I figure that the engine/trans would be a fairly easy...
RE: M37 corner bows & timing ?
The M37 bow corners have a "harder" angle then the ones for a M35 or a M715. I have photos of them on my website along with the dimensions for all the wood pieces (upright, cross, ridgepole, seats, etc.).
The M37 corners and those used on the M101 trailer are...
RE: What
Other than the differences to the engine and transmission, I've never heard of anything being different in the driveline. You should always be able to swap out components like transfer case and axles as complete assemblies... Since the 251 block has the same bolt pattern on the...
Not to worry, I'll have my PRC77 with me... :)
Heck, it'll give us an excuse to wander over and see what's happening in a whole different section of the rally...
You'll have a blast no matter where you are.
RE: Re: im comen too
Guys,
Don't forget to head over to the convoy website and register. It'll really help us out as we get closer since Mike has some functions built into the site that help out greatly form a managment standpoint (ability to send out group notices for instance), and we need...
David,
I have four spaces (the ones that are listed for myself and the ones that used to be Joe's that Tony Casey is using) with space to spare. Mike Maynard is putting the Steelsoldiers command tent next door since we are cooking the BBQ at my spot.
If you don't mind smelling the hog...
Actually, I have purchased Blythwoodjoe's Yellow vendor spots (Yellow - T10 U6) and will have Tony Casey located next to me in that location. Joe can't make it, and I wanted a fellow North Carolinian next door...
I will be in Yellow Vendor spaces U5 T9 with the hog cooker fired up on Friday. Most of the steelsoldiers fellows are near me... And, if not, I'll have a copy of the Vendor directory with me and an idea of who is where...
Get a convoy t-shirt and join us for BBQ on Friday night.
Rally...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Who is going on the 2007 East Coast Conv
Pics are in the section called "photo gallery"
Not sure about uploading that photo of your rig... I know that there is a size limit. Mike can look into that I am sure...
Maps/directions/departure times are getting tweaked this...
RE: Re: RE: Who is going on the 2007 East Coast Convoy?
Yes, even with my bugging him more then he deserved... :) I owe him a round or two when we get to Aberdeen...
Register, order a t-shirt (so you can have BBQ), check back often as the enhancements (route info, etc.) get...
Re: RE: Deuce Roadmaster
I LIKE IT :)
I wish that I had thought of that one, but it'd get me in just as much trouble on my NCDOT rig as Frank would get into having it on his ride... I don't live between the bases like he does, but I work in a building full of folks who are on base every...
Adam,
The shirts that you ordered are for the East Coast Convoy and will server as your ticket to Friday's BBQ.
I think that the shirts Maddawg is refering to are Steelsoldiers shirts...
Two different things... :)
You can never have too many shirts... :)
Thanks! Looking forward to meeting...
Bjorn,
The original graphic (on the Convoy home page) went with the "helpful t-shirt" theme that we had been using (jump start, walk around check, tow bar TM), but Bruce wanted to interject some humor... and tie into the Convoy theme a bit more...
Ultimately, the design was my call.
I'm...
Clinto: Right now it is set up for shipping to be per shirt. If I can stuff more than one into the same flat rate package, I'll combine and will refund the extra...
Bjorn: Kenny sent me several ideas based on PS Magazine covers. Bruce K reworded the slogan and tweaked the design. I...
The five lug 6.50hx16 LTS Budd semi drop center rims used on the M101/M101A1 are the same as the ones fitted to the M37 (and a lot of the civilian Power Wagons). I have info on these rims, and the tires that fit on them, on my website.
Aberdeen is a good place to move them...
CS, I called Tony Casey about this after I told you that I wasn't going to be able to make it back to Charles' before going to Aberdeen. He's just informed me that he can snag it for you, and he'll be located in one of my Vendor spots at Aberdeen. I sent you his email by PM. Hopefully...
My current "go to" wrench both at home and when on the road in the duece is my Ingersoll Rand 3/4" unit. Forget what the exact model is, but the current iteration is the 2141. It packs 1200 ft-lb in reverse, has four power settings, is 7.5lbs. My seven year old model only puts out 800...
