    Starter wiring Sanity check

Can you hear the starter relay click inside the cab when you tried to start it? Under the dash where the radio would be. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I hear that! I've seen the patterns too...what type of air gun do you use to paint it though? Doesn't look like black overspray on the green at all. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    Just got a M1009! What to check/change/replace?

Nice! Nothing wrong with that since I bet you'll use it with heaters. Belts are what they are. Depends if they're cracked up or ok. I do keep one extra set though just in case. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    Just got a M1009! What to check/change/replace?

Awesome!! I'd say from most that get one that doesn't run you're several touchdowns ahead! That glass is easy to find or another topper for where I am...no idea about how you get parts like that in Alaska. LMC has glass but some companies don't ship up there. Probably pop some plywood over it...

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

Got the rear painted up nice a few nights ago and applied lizard skin sound control. It really gets the job done and is easy to use. It goes on Grey then dries into almost black. It'll get painted flat black next week. We found his blazer is very loud in the back with no carpet and just metal...

802A Fuel and Coolant Temp Gauge Problems

There's diag stuff in the tm if you feel like diving down that road. They aren't to tough to figure out. Temp guage you can see if it's warming up with a heat gun on the thermostat housing. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

I see a front end that could be mounted on the side of the barn yet! Hood looks great! Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    Project Wild Weasel M1009

That clutch part and lock mechanism as well as the window guides lmc has unless you have a set laying around! Those window gears are not around to much right now so I hope you have one of those! Looks like a decent project you got there. Yes this rain is weird...none all summer then now all...

Resistor bypass and belt squeal **FIXED**

Thats not a big deal really in the scope of things! As long as it starts good. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

Resistor bypass and belt squeal **FIXED**

Yeah I don't have that on any of mine but I know it works. Make sure you don't run them to long they'll expand and stop working....then that'll be an entirely new thread to fix. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

Resistor bypass and belt squeal **FIXED**

Yes the resistor is only used for direct power from both batteries through the glow plug relay to the glow plugs in the stock setup. Other than that it does nothing. So in theory back to your belt squeeling issue, one battery getting the glow plugs going will definitely load the one alternator...

Resistor bypass and belt squeal **FIXED**

As far as the alternators go for the glow plug resistor they don't really have anything to do with how it gets power since the battery/s do all the work. I like the 24 volt system even though all mine don't use the resistor. The starter is about it on the engine. I use the jump port for running...

Resistor bypass and belt squeal **FIXED**

The splitting is actually extremely simple. The resistor gets its power from the fire wall junction box which both batteries are hooked to giving it 24 volts...this is stock. Removing the resistor only requires running the power wire to the glow plug relay from the 12 volt junction box next to...
