When you get the welder be sure to just do short welds on the new panel and move around from spot to spot a lot. That way you do not warp the metal.
Some thing like this and then just keep working from spot to spot till it is all welded. slow but sure.[thumbzup]
If you can MIG weld try to do it yourself, if not have a shop cut it out and replace. In the long run that is the best way.
LMC truck has a lot of body part for sale, they are new and should not be to bad to weld in.

Simp, My M925 floor was very bad also, it had the gun ring reinforcing plate on the floor and that just keep the water. This is what I did. It was a lot of work.
I just installed one on my NHC250 this past weekend. I put it on the flat part just after the y. I can post a pic later.
Not sure if it is the best place but it works ok.
I have removed three of them and they can be a bear. I put a wedge at the back, some PB blaster, a little heat and a big hammer.
Hit it from sides and from top and bottom, repeat if needed.
No the one plug that is there is to go in the open hole when you are fording in water. Is it coming from the hole, maybe rear main seal. But it looks like it is coming from the oil pan area.
Did they over fill it? Or not get the filter on right?
The TM's are in the Technical Manuals at the top of the page. Preload, You torque the nut down to 50 ft/lb then back it off 1/4 turn.
Then set the lock tab and torque the outside nut to 175 ft/lb. If I remember right.
