I found two NOS factory GM ones on there last year.
My first M1008A1 had new GM installed when I picked it up at Ft. Hood
Seller actually had more and I posted info (not a link) on SS and they All sold that day.
I should have bought them all but didn’t want to be greedy...
Ignition key is square head and doors are the rounded head.
Standard civillian GM setup for these.
Unless you find a NOS CUCV set, you’ll have two keys.
I would install a new set of head gaskets.
You have already gone this far and a new set is cheap insurance.
There might be some flaw/damage to the current set that you can’t see.
Something cheaper than building something right away would be shipping containers.
You can get two CUCVs inside a 40 footer no sweat. Tight but possible.
Not sure about number of trailers.
That way, no worry about mice, moisture, storms, vandals, etc.

I have those round Truck-Lite LEDs on my M925A2.
Excellent lights!
Did all LEDs on the 5 ton and they are all Truck-Lites.
My LED dash lights are Military issue but their not TLs.
Cost was painful but I don’t have to worry about them going out anytime soon.
