I started an LED thread for those interested;

Looking for 2 people to split an order.
Having about worn out welcome on the "what have you done to your deuce today" thread (https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?67703-What-did-you-do-to-your-deuce-this-week/page728), I am starting a new LED thread.
This thread is on LEDs that use strips and a dimmer controller like...
NO not safe at highway speed. Like a farm hay wagon, they start going side to side (to the limits of the steering) beginning at about 25 mph. Higher speeds get worse...all depending on the "tightness" in the front steering.
Performance??? Who's scale? Longevity, brightness, placement, ease and $$$?
How does the dimmer work if not by voltage? Is the "brightness" on a linear scale with voltage?
On the dash, I don't necessarily want quantity of bright light if placement is right. But as a backup light one...
I was thinking of four tubes or two back tubes and cable for top link, no swivel. It's a straight line thing but does what I need most, lift things vertical and carries them. It might be cool to have a hydraulic boom top link for boom raising and lowering or some other means. Or keep it all...
I would use a jib a lot more than a front or rear. The pockets for the corner crane through the bed could be mounts. There would be no twisting that I can imagine.
Winch people I have a question about the mounting of the standard winch on the 1078. Can it be routed up through the bed and used for a jib crane? Just curious and don't own a FMTV.
Yes, that is the length of troop seats in the dump truck M929 and M817 and also the side boards. It might be a couple inches longer for the wood. Do you need an exact measure?
On my side boards I used the uprights from the troop seats so the top bows would still fit. Caution if doing it...
18operator, So if you get light around the gauge area, it will help to illuminate the faces?? Does the light coming down to the floor cause you any issues, it looks kinda bright? Would simply attaching a low power light next to the gauge work?
Edit; How about the LED string lights and a 24...
If you are referring to my S-788 shelter, no, will not fit on a 105 without serious modification or going back to the bare frame (a viable option and you could sell a clean bed).
You bring the 105 up, I'll take the bed in trade and I'll mount the 788 to your frame!
Here is the 1101 that I...
Thanks Jeff. I got the amounts off of Ace by mixing up the FS 37030 and there was twice as much black put into the base as there was blue. I have the amount of blue noted in the formula on top of the can.
I'm going to use Rustoleum flat black oil as a base and add the same amount of blue as...
I read the threads on the light kits by swampdonkey but have some questions. There is a lot said about the lenses and I see they are longer. Do these lenses fit into the back of the gauges, not only the dash indicator lights? They must.
Thanks 18operator, I'll be looking forward to seeing...
