    Hub Removal/Replace

Leave the stock hubs and stick to insterstates most of the way to Moab. I would recommend several flashing yellow lights and a big sign that says "slow moving vehicle." Better that someone gets stuck behind you on a 4 lane for a couple of minutes vs several miles or more on a 2 lane. Do you...

I guess my simple question would be WHY?

Freedom Vehicles Gama Goat Recovery, Restoration, Project

Make sure the hand throttle is all the way in. If it's binding anywhere along the travel it could cause the over rev you're getting. Good luck!

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

I talked to a guy today about buying mine and one of his concerns was the cab top bows. Are these something you think a person could fab if they weren't that interested in originality? I never really thought about it myself as I wanted an original set because that's just the way I am. He...

    New Texas member here.

Welcome from San Antonio! There's a bunch of deuce owners in the Lone Star MVPA in Austin that are very accessible if you need any assistance. Also, next weekend (Apr 16, 17) is Muster at Camp Mabry. It's a fantastic event with lots of static display vehicles from both the club and the...

Added 2000# crane to LMTV bed

Thanks! Keep the videos coming. After seeing your setup I'm thinking I can modify my current engine hoist in to something similar. I seriously doubt I'm ever going to pull another engine and if needed could just pull the truck over to do it. Where did you get the air/hydraulic ram?

    Finally restoring the M37

Wow! That looks amazing. I'm starting to feel a little embarrassed by mine. Good thing it's really the wife's. I can just say she's the one that cut corners.

WSUCougarx's M561 Gama Goat Acquisition and Build Thread

Yeh that looks a whole lot better than the mess I found when I opened mine up.

    FMTV Door Key?

Hopefully we can consolidate some of these videos in a sticky or common thread to make everyone's life easier.

    LMTV- Colorado to Alaska

I think you lost a decade there. Shouldn't that be 35 years ago?

    Cheap LMTV's no more

Yeh you need an A1 with winch for the collection plus it was a '08 so would have been your newest. If you get the chance you should come to the Air Show in Temple in May so I can drool over one of your trucks.

    Cheap LMTV's no more

As soon as I get my truck. Then they can triple in price :)

    Cheap LMTV's no more

Looks like all the M1078s went for fairly reasonable prices today (one runner for $5k). Only outlier was the M1078A1 in TX that went for $11k. I thought for a non-runner that had obvious issues (GL style drive shaft modification for one) that was a bit high. Still I now have hope that there...

    R.I.P.--FMJ--Ed Davis

He was 2 weeks younger than me. I sold him a 1031 last year. Only chance I had to meet him but he always came across as a great guy.

    2016 TX MV Rally

Unfortunately with MS it's all about stopping progression and the only guideline is that you don't get any worse than you already are. So I won't know if it works unless it doesn't. Kind of screwed up, huh? There really isn't any getting better. An example though, I'm to the point that I can't...

    2016 TX MV Rally

Hope everyone has a great time. I'm sitting with tubes in my arm wishing I was headed toward College Station. Guess I'll try again next year.

    Cheap LMTV's no more

And you can forget about an A1 unless you've got deep pockets. Surprising what the trucks going through KS are bringing. GP should ship everything there to maximize profits if they're going to sell trucks in the $25k up range.

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

That's what I said as I was taking mine out sitting on the shop floor.

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

The quote was in reference to M715mike's truck sitting next to Jeepsinker's M936. I just threw mine in there as a nose to nose comparison.

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

If I'd known I could have pulled the one off my extra starter and sent it to you. As long as mine isn't sold any spare stuff is fair game for you guys to snag. Of course sending the whole starter would probably be cost prohibitive but I could have pulled the solenoid.
