The "20" stamped on the plastic cover tells you that the main wire is 16 gauge and has a 20 gauge fusible link. NAPA should have some premade links. Do not use a fuse.
There is a sticky covering fusible links in the "CUCV Helpful Threads" sticky at the top of the CUCV Forum...
The doghead relay upgrade will help some issues but it will not resolve all the problems. With sparks flying you more than likely fried some fusible links.

A couple of years ago I paid $1600 for a parts Deuce with a bent frame. The days of the cheap Deuces are long gone. You may get lucky and find a cheap one but bets are it is someone else's headache and needs a lot of work. What ever you pay, plan on another $1000 to bring it up to serviceable...
I once bought a Deuce from GL. It had a bent frame. No mention of it in the ad. Hard to drive it home while going in circles. :whistle:

Have you downloaded the tech manuals for your truck? The parts manual has detailed diagrams of the majority of the parts of the truck.
The lockup speed on a diesel torque converter is around 1600 rpm. A gasser TC can range anywhere from 2400-4500 rpm. If you want to blow up your engine then go for it.
