We're going to try and pick up 2 at 0800 Thursday. If Murphy strikes we might need to take you up on that.
Is the woman who schedules pickups there always so pleasant? /s
939 is the Series. Check the manuals for differences between specific trucks, i.e. 923 is the cargo without winch and 925 is the cargo with winch. There's a specific thread about filters that can be found using the "search" function.
I did get one with a gen. My concern regarding the burners is that they used the same interior pics for all the trailers so who knows which trailer the pics are from.
It'll hurt the first time but after that it costs the same to keep the top half full as it does the bottom half of the tank. There are some ingenious ways to lock the fuel cap down and it'd be cheaper than a tow.
MWMULES hit it on the head. The basic trailer is the same other than the vents. Depending on when it came out of service will depend on what's on the trailer. Updates include switching from gas burners to diesel (which a MKT-90 should have), power exhaust fan, Cambro cooler and food trays...
Thanks John. Much better picture than the one I'd seen before. Now I just need to find one. One question though, do you have to undo the who shebang in order to check the batteries?
Do a search for DUVAC in regards to the 1010. There's ways around it but if you're not that good at wiring it'll take some effort (probably the reason they need batteries in the one you're looking at). The A/C and heat are great in the back but I tried just about everything I could to make the...
Mine's missing the hoist so I splurged today and got a China Harbor Freight ratcheting tie-down rated at 3000#. I figure the short end around the I-bolt on the slider and then loop it around the tire and ratchet it down. Not as fast as a chain hoist but then I don't expect to be trying to...
Trying to get by without having to fold the seat down. Doesn't make for too comfortable a ride for the passengers.
Maybe a couple of rubber blocks to support the back of the radio to the floor would keep too much flex from ripping it apart. My other concern would be enough air flow to keep...
Welcome! If you get the opportunity head out to the Temple Air Show this weekend. There will be quite a number of SS members there. We'll be loitering around all the big green (mostly) trucks.
I'll take my MT-1029 and test fit it there. I'd be a lot happier with someone having to hang their legs over the radio than not having the extra seat space (not to mention the hassle of getting to the batts).
The reason I wanted some pics is to get an idea of how they had it set up in the cab. I'm planning on putting my 524/Vic 1 set up in my truck but the only 939 series I've seen with radios have them mounted on a bracket over the folded down passenger seat. I'd like to retain my seat capacity...
You may not be but who's to say the next elected sheriff won't be (especially in parts of WA)? Your dept do "no knock" warrants? What's the SOP for calling out armor? It's a cool machine but I feel safer when it stays with the military and not local police forces.
