RE: Re: sleeper
Let's generate a list of members by state. Here is what I saw on the map for N. Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. I'll update the list as we go and try to get a yes or no from each. Can you post up and organize Arkansas and Missouri?

Is it possible to find all steelsoldiers members within 250 mile radius of the rally? A personal (PM or email) invite to each would be good with the schedule, details and convoy info. The member locator map is good, but not everyone is listed. Otherwise, let's make a list of everyone in each...
For most military trailers, there is no civilian equivalent. Military trailers are typically heavy, short, tall, and offroad capable. Civy trailers are light, long, low and run down the road well.
I'm planning on it too. Jason, my recommendation is for you to just take charge and organize it. With proper organization, people will come and we will have a good time.
A lift tow is good because you get some downward force on the towing vehicle and the towed vehicle will track like a trailer. It does require a little more prep work, but I would agree it is a better method. My original questions were in regard to flat towing with towbar.

1. Cut the light blue wire from the glow plug controller under the dash and take it to one terminal of your...
I apologize for the confusion. I guess my comments relate to the expansible van. I was using the term expandable in accordance with the thread topic. I have the M820 as pictured below. Yes, the outer walls move outward, but the sides still fold up/down.
It would be a S L O W drive back in the M1008. I would pay to have it shipped. Might even be cheaper that doing it yourself. Post a listing on www.uship.com or search the internet for other options. You can get a lot of bids fast and then determine if it will fit into your budget. Good luck!
Sorry, that was confusing. With the sides closed, you can cram pack the van the full. Once you expand the van (assuming you can get to the hardware to open it), nothing you stored in the van is going to move.
I guess you could build a false floor into the van and slide your gear (couch...
