:ditto: on oiling the airpack. Especially in cold weather. Pop out the plug on the rear or in my case the j pipe and shoot in some airtool oil. Should at least keep the piston moving. Should probably do this 2-3 times a year.
Just my 2 cents.

Welcome to the green addiction! She sure is a beatiful truck. Yaw be careful with the antique and collector ins. policies. I had mine with grundy for 2 years and 2nd time policy renewed I just happened to start reading the policy book and what did I read - they will only insure up to 10,000 lb...
man what better way to clear your driveway than with a MV. I just take the deuces when it snows and skip the shoveling and plowing. Good that it helps earn its keep!:-D
I'd just think on it for a while and look at others and then just go your own way. It's yours and you're the one doing the driving so go with what you feel. Been thinking of doing one in tan myself. I think the tan is cool!:-D
Goodlooking job. I finished mine a few weeks ago. Gillespie is very easy to spray. Only next time I will use hardener in the paint. Send me some sunshine. I enjoyed the painting and if anyone in NC wants their truck sprayed for free let me know after you sand and get it ready!:-P

I've been thinking about selling my deuce because past knee surgery and the clutch are not agreeing. I would probably have to start around 5,000. Most of the truck was sandblasted-epoxy primer and then 24087. It has 10 new tires and heat spring ride seat and have been through the truck. I would...
Most definately you can do it yourself. Changing injectors on the 6.2 is rather easy and while you're at it go ahead and change them all. These trucks sit for alot of their lives and all kinds of things can happen to injectors.

you definately don't want to ever pull a battery cable off of anything with the engine running as this will cause a spike and usually end in catostrophic failure of the alternator. Yes check voltage at the alt. with engine running. And yes clean ground at alt. and frame. If nothing then probably...
Don't mean to be harsh but sounds like a good candidate for the TM's. You mite want to start with a little bit of reading for your safety and of those on the other side of the road. Especially the part about the brakes. Congrats on the truck!

Did you mean you tried turning the hex adjuster. That's not the adjuster but the cover. At least the ones I've seen is a philips head adjuster. Take out the hex and insert philips screwdriver. I set mine at 27.5 volts and been working great eversince.

I saw some pics of a desert tan cucv with the black markings on it. It reminded me of a hummer sort of maybe since that is the current color on a lot of vehicles. Cool digital camo job on yours.:-D
Hey newb
I reinstalled my thermostat today which has been out since the recovery from pa. Remember? Heat worked great on the way home tonite. I almost froze outside today putting it in lost threads in the manifold and had to helicoil. Open the valves and flip the switch inside the truck. Don't...
