syntetics have their place...but using them in transmissions not designed for it will give you shifting problems and cause you lots of problems. the syncros need to be able to grab the gear to speed it up in order to make everything line up . if the fuild is to slick like syntetic the gear won't...
i dont think you'll have a problem running it at 540 or close to it just put the trans in first gear .. i would like to see pics when you are done..Are you putting a three point hitch on the rear to?i was looking at doing that to mine the other day thought it would be cool for useing the bush...
I like the idea of where he has the cables routed to . Ya windows probably need to be down to open the doors, but you can keep the tailgate on and still use the pintle for towing..not to mention having to remove the cargo cover ..seems like a simple solution for a quick lift or two.nice mods...
Can it be done yes .. Trailer brakes are a must.... Will it go fast no.. Can it be done without a cdl no.. Would i do it ? i pleade the fifth Many people have done worse things and gotten lucky.the problem is when things go bad and you are not lucky...it gets ugly real quick.:idea:when there is...
well i hate to see you carrying extra weight around you can store that rear crane at my house if you need to.....The a frames on the front are only rated at 3000lbs.I not sure how much they will really hold .i would keep an eye on those bumper brackets and front axle if you gonna load it more...
I like it all. Nice job!I like the tow bar mounting . I guess i'm gonna ask one of those question that get a bad answer.......Why do you need the a frame on the front if you have the crane on the back?
Super nice fab job... this is by far the cleanest simplest install i have seen so far ..Really well thought out and good follow thru to.all you need to make it perfect is some green paint. You should make a program to cut they peices out on a plasma table or water jet.. i would be in the market...
wrong.The m36 uses a 17ft bed not 20ft.. m814 is longer.... the m35 uses a 12 ft bed...i believe the m813 uses a 14ft bed... but either way the frame on a m36 is 5ft longer than the frame on a m35
nice looking mog.I like them with the box on there ... that one still has the gun mount on the dash... nice find. One day i will have one of my own:jumpin:
i did a couple full manual 4l80e trans for a baja truck a few years ago .we still have one valve body left.pressure is controlled similar to a 400 or 350 ..it still used the lock up soloniod ... they had a couple of controllers to regulate the tcc.
Maybe yours yours failed due to lack of lube from being opperated when the truck was on it's side.....;).I'm gonna post pics of all my fun have changing the front diff out.
Mine did the same thing.i'm gonna start swapping mine out tomorrow. i am curious to see what failed first too.I will let you know what i find on mine .i know i got water in there and i am pretty sure the bearings just got some rust on them and failed from that..
Those trucks are huge no doupt. They have many really cool options.. i loved them till i seen one on an articulation ramp on you tube......It went up like two ft....weak.Big tires and power is great but if you cant keep the tires on the ground they are worthless... i'd rather have my deuce and...
She was drinking and driving ....Don't let the insurance try to pull one over on you..It is her fault....They will pay for a new tire, rim tube ,flap mounting and balancing....Also at the bear minimum i would have an alinement done ...check everything in the rear suspension. The u-bolts are...
