If you are thinking about getting a deuce .Go to the resources and read the tm s on them then reread them. Most of the questions you have can be answered there. Then go read some of the topics in the mod section for that vehicle. The a3 uses mostly med duty truck parts for the mechanical as far...
To me electronics are worth less on an offroad vehicle.. Get em wet they die.Get em hot they die.Bounch em around they die....when they work right they are great. But is a a common rail cummins better than one with a 7100 pump?i doupt it,
Sure you can make power adjustments with a...
nopics......There are a few things you need to watch out for when adjusting the steering stops..first make sure the tire-wheel isnt gonna hit at full cut.second when you allow it it turn further it puts alot more stress on the axle and axle joint .you will feel binding at full cut and possibly...
I just had my inner wheel bearing go out .It ended up messing up the hub where the seal rides i might weld it and cut it on the lathe . .The other problem is cutting the weld is not as easy as it sounds welds are hardened metal when done ....ussually you grind hardened metal not cut it.....It...
i have gotten 14 with my deuce pulling a m105 but that was full throttle.i found out that having clogged fuel filters and running it slow can get me as low as 9.5pmg....i have 15.5s on my truck
i think you should hang on to it... Seems like you can use a shop van with the luck you have with the drop on its side truck. But if you must sell it make sure you price it high enough it won.t turn into a bobber and a shed?
deathrowdave super nice install-fab job.just one thing i dont like .....welded steering arms are scary at best.i was bidding on a setup like that on fleabay a few years ago.It was off of a combine.this seems to be the safest easiest way to add decend steering to w deuce without going broke doing...
dual cylinder setups work like this.. Both cylinders are applied at the same time from fluid supplied from the same source. They are not run separately .One cylinder is at the top where there is one normally the other is located at the bottom in place of the anchoring pin.
It would give more braking power depending on the size of the cylinders. There would still be some kind of adjustments in there .Drum brakes are not self adjusting due to the way the return springs pull the shoes back in . The return springs would pull the shoes in to far to have any brakes if...
Not sure why you would want or need to bob the m923. Not like it is under powered and you are obiously use to driving big trucks. imo the rear suspension is what makes these trucks so capable offroad. There was a bobber at haspin this year he was getting stuck with 11.00s where every stock deuce...
Here's some pics of mine.i boxed the bed rails, scissors unit is a 30ton off a old grain truck i got for 600. i made the tanks and the pump is from northern tool it is a 12 high volume unit..I've had over 40000lbs in the bed it dupmed it without a problem. although i was blowing out tires when i...
:confused:you could just bring a car trailer with you .Lay the frame down first the put the trailer on strap it all down and go ..No fabbing no problems driving home.Worst case you have to put a hitch on your deuce which is something that will come in handy later rather than making something...
I would make a sturdy (ladder rack ) for the bed of the deuce then strap it to that leaving it to hang over the front and maybe a couple feet off the back. That way you dont have to worry about it hitting the trailer or tracking bad in tight turns.i would probably use some 2.5x2.5 1/4 wall...
I would just mount the heater inside under the glove box like they do in the a3.Stretch has his like that in his m108.That seems to be the hot ticket .Better heat nothing in the way under the hood.2cents
i have a set of bed bolts i would be willing to part with springs and all. As far as the heater parts mine doesn't look like that not sure what they got there?p.m. me if you interested in the bolts
