torque converters dont provide more gear ratio they multiply the usible torque .they effectively slip in a sense. to allow the engine to pick up rpms while still providing power to the transmission. the are no gears in a torque converter.there are three parts to a converter the pump, turbine and...
Man only 2700rpm that would give you a top speed of around 45mph if you put an a3 trans behind a multifuel with 9.00s on it. can you sayyy sssslllllooooooowwwwwww.Wow.
the question isnt so much if it will fit but more why would you want to put an a3 trans in an a2? the a3 uses a 3000-3200rpm rpm motor . While the multi only goes to 2600.In other word if you put an a3 trans in a a2 top speed would be about 42mph. Even if you put 46s on it top speed of about...
i wouldnt do anything bigger than a 48 . the brakes just arent up to the job with that much leverage ans weight working against them .i have 46s on my truck and think they are great offroad but would like something smaller on there for when i have a trailer behind the truck
I've been welding for yrs without disconnecting the batts. No problems so far.But it is always best to diconnect if you have any doupts all you have to do is disconnect the ground from the batt not all the connections.i always put ground close to the weld if at all possible
ya they do have the doubler to if it was me i would keep the alxe like it is as it is the strongest 44 option out the . most dana 44 lockout are very weak ans problematic. better to loose a few mpg than not have 4x4 when you need it
they sell a part time kit to go in the tranfer case that is in it. and they sell lockout kits for the front axle to. But if you do the part time kit you really dont have to do lock outs unless you are looking to save on fuel . but that would be alot easier and look more original that cross...
ok i measured my pins on the tow bar they are 1 and 1/8 .. The pins on feet are 1.5 inches .The gap where the feet fit into the tow bar is around 1.75 inch
i'm gonna go measure the pins on my bar and pm you gimp .i can't bush the feet i have cuz they are so big they hit the bolts that hold the shackles on.If i were to try to use the ones i have i would have to plug the holes and redrill them lower in the feet....
they have the best suspension of any truck out there in my opinion. i have yet to flex it to the point where i'm pulling a tire of the ground.and believe me i have tried everything.even the unimog doesnt have anything on the deuce.
The tow bar i have is a heavy non adjustible tow bar .The feet that are on it have a 1.5 inch pin where it goes to the shackles. the pins at the tow bar look like they are 1 inch..this thing is a back breaker .I'm gonna hook the leg with the lunette up first then put the other on so i don't have...
I'm gonna be picking up a parts truck this in the next few weeks .i need med tow bar feet.I have a tow bar but mine has the heavy feet. if anyone knows where i could buy some or if someone has a set to lend me to do this recovery.i would pay to have them shipped and a little more .i can borrow...
i have pulled 10000lbs behind a deuce without trailer brakes and it isnt much fun. i wouldnt do it unless it was a emergency .If something goes wrong you will have no way to get it back right . Not to mention the deuces brakes are about maxed out with just the truck .
Tell her she isn't in touch with your feelings. You want to bring something new into the marraige to help it grown in a possitive way . Tell her about the deuce and how you want your marraige to be as strong and last as long as the deuce. it did it's job for more than sixty years and is still...
great job. I like the slip joint connecters. That gives you the ability to remove the crossover pipe to work on things under there. well thought out and exicuted:driver:
ahh nice to know....I have 15.5 xls on stock deuce rims.I used an engine hoist with the tires strapped dow to life the rim and compress the sidewall. Alot of hard work but after the first one they go one a little easier
