Find and PM reckmilsparts (or something close). He might still have some on hand. You can find his info in classifieds for cab bushings, door interior parts, and more.
Very good write up. 1000w heater is about the same as an oil filled home heater set to medium... You are burning maybe $1.00 warming the block overnight,
Depending on your KWh costs.
Before/after installing the block heater, were/are you not using the ether injection for cold starts? Just curious.
Which way did you orient the heating element (what degree/time is the element pointed towards)? I have the same element that I need to install. How many gallons of coolant did you drain before popping out the freeze plug, and did you just use a punch and hammer to do the job?
this is long way around upload a picture, which is kicking me out of SS each time I try....nothing for sale, just click on the below link to see the picture with an arrow pointing to the port in question.

A few quick questions for those who have already rebuilt their air over hydraulic pumps...I bought a used unit, arrived complete, and immediately took it apart with the intention of rebuilding one unit, swapping it out for the unit currently on the truck, and not having to worry about the...
MROsupply online ordering is working just fine right now, website is a little buggy with the minimum order number of each item and not matching up with what you want. I ended up ordering double the amount of everything I needed, totaling $101, about 10 days from order to delivery. Now I have...
The intention was to get feedback from people who have made one or both of the above changes, and weigh in on which one would be more beneficial for my uses.
You can disregard my OP...I've decided to go with high speed gearing just to reduce load/rpms at 55mph.
Let me preface this with "I've read almost every thread in the forum for FMTVs on the topic" and think this is a separate conversation from those already posted on similar, but different, topics. If not viewed as "different," it definitely would be a great place to summarize the experiences of...
TM states "4 inches between throttle connector and the groove in the cable." Doesnt mention whether or not the cable is partly extended to reach that 4" Oh well...will follow the TM explicitly, clear out the codes and throttle count, and call it a day.
Got the new TPS, installed it exactly where the old one was positioned, and it required about 1/4-1/2" of cable to be pulled out (from the fully retracted position) to connect the TPS to the throttle body linkage with the cotter pin. Seems to me that the cable should be in the fully retracted...
For the cab lift, it could be the simple fact that the hydraulic control manifold is labeled in a confusing way if you havent yet read the TM's. top nob turned tothe right to cab lift, and then you push in the bottom left plunger to direct the air pressure to the cab tilt. if you are messing...
Mounted mine yesterday using the same location at Oxy...found my extra lead on the passenger side, wiring harness, didnt find anything on the driver side despite my best efforts. One 90 degree angle bracket from the box store, drill a few holes, and it is robust enough that it looks like it...
If anyone cares, almost identical to original, as a true factory replacement, RockAuto has window channel rubber/felt for approx $2/ft.
FAIRCHILD 06368 or FAIRCHILD 04528

Thought I would share if you are half as OCD as I am about...
I have the metal tracks in the door to support the window glass, but there is almost no rubber/felt left in the channel. Just need the felt/rubber, not the tracks themselves. Local autoparts stores do not carry it, dealerships only sell it glued onto the tracks for specific vehicles, and for...
MD required two plates, both of which they will issue to me, but only one will be displayed on the rear driver's side mud flap brace. Might as well give them 1 more reason on top of 800 already existing reasons to get pulled over. Local LEO are good.
Speedo is smooth and accurate. Ditto for volts, temp, and air tank pressure.
Fuel is jumpy when driving, but I dont trust it to begin with. Probably have a loose wire somewhere in that circuit.
